Angelique asked about Blue Boy every time I talked with her. She was very fond of him and cried once when he disappeared. I've had him about five years and his feathers are more beautiful with each passing year. I have a dozen peacocks/peahens, but he is my favorite.
I was late in responding because I was listening to President Bush's speech.

I was a bit nervous typing that tribute as there wer Angelique's friends here. and I wanted to find words to comfort them as well.
One night he came to me in a dream and said "Jule....I'm okay...please let me go..." I knew it was him because he was the only one who called me 'Jule". I awoke feeling at peace knowing that his spirit was with God and he was filled with joy.
Although I had only a few short exchanges with Angelique; I always thought her spirit was a beautiful as her name.......
It showed me and others who did not know Angelique well a tiny glimpse of how she was.

Here is a FReep mail that I received from Angelique while she was working on the cookbook.
During the post-election fiasco in 2000 while everyone was talking about hanging chads, dimpled chads and pregnant chads, Angelique asked how it's possible for a chad to become pregnant. I made up a short little story to answer her question. From that little snippet, she and I added more and more adventures for Chad (Avote Forgore) and her companion Stylus on different threads scattered all across FR. I know where some of them are, but I don't think I'll ever find them all :(

I was just doing a final edit of what Christie has done--she is really great!--and could not help but laugh about your complaint that you have been pregnant too long with this project when I saw this:
Chad.....,he's gone through quite a transformation in the past two weeks. He's gone from a simple hanging Chad to a tri-cornered Chad.... to a fresh faced dimpled Chad. Now, finally, after a successful operation, it's possible for Chad to become pregnant. Of course, he's also had to change his name. What fun we had with that!! Angelique was kidnapped by Chad and Stylus at one point. Carlo and I rescued her. Somehow Cheif negotiator was even brought into to it for a time.
I miss her...
