My thought is - since we are in a war, what would it hurt to treat attacks like these as if they were intentional terror (US federal support) attacks? Seems like a better default proposition when our capitol starts looking more like the Gaza than hometown USA.

Well, it would be alot simpler to call in the Feds if Tom Daschle had acted to pass the Homeland Security Bill. Maybe that's the reason they are so slow to admit that this is terrorism.
I am told that residents of Maryland who have homes elsewhere are leaving the area, maybe permanently. They sure think that it is terrorism.

When will the conspiracy freaks be claiming the US Government is behind these killings? Any guesses?

Probably not a good idea to think of every such incident as ME terrorists since there are so many domestic nutcases the false alarms would only make people complacent or cause people not to take known terrorist acts seriously.

If there are two men who are involved in "random" shootings, one has to assume that these are not your typical gang members (who basically kill over turf wars). Nor are these your typical serial killers (who with the exception of the Hillside Stranglers are people who work alone).
Thus my conclusion is that these are terrorist acts. They should BOLO for middle easterners who may look hispanic rather than the reverse.

This type of attack could function as cover to move equipment into Washington.
Every policemen in the area is looking for a white truck with black lettering. Are we looking away while the rabbit is being put in the hat?
We might not be at war with Iraq, but they might be at war with us.

The host is Roger Hedgecock out of San Diego. A caller also pointed out that among the terrorists recently arrested in Portland, was one who was caught shooting in a gravel pit shortly after 9/11/2001 due to a noise complaint. He was with others, all dressed in ME garb.

Then the host went on to tie Gertz's book on 9/11 where a known Al-Qaeda cell was active in Prince George's County in the same town as one of the shootings. What does Gertz say about this?
I just posted the following in another thread:
Here's a curious fact:
One of the 9/11 hijackers, Hani Hanjour, had tried to rent a plane in Bowie, MD. (He was turned down because his flight skills were so poor; he was allowed three qualifying test flights during the second week of August.) See this Newsday article.
Just a coincidence? Or is there a continuing al-Qaeda presence in that area?

Padilla was Hispanic. He was also a musliterrorist. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Roger also talked about 6 Mohammedans being arrested for firing "high-powered rifles at a gravel pit" within the last week. I forget where.

He's apparently just basing it off WND's article which has already been posted a zillion times on FR.

You are right, we should start treating these instances as "war" and quit talking about "bringing the perpetrators to justice"
(emphasis are the words of the Chief of Police and the mayor in the counties where terrorist snipings are taking place)
We Americans are already being conditioned to accept this crap as just another incident unrelated to islamo-terrorism.

Wait till after the elections, the homegrown terrorists are being on their best behavior right now hoping the RATS pick up seats. I really expect the domestic terrorism to pickup after Nov 5th and once the war with Iraq is underway. I just cleaned my rifle ....

Thanks for mentioning THIS.
OT: I like Rush, but...............Roger is a great fill-in host. He takes harder questions than does Rush. It seems that Rush screens out many liberals and doesn't want to bother refuting them. Roger confronts them head-on and makes a lot of "In Yo Face" comments that I enjoy.
