I am rallying the troops in support of the Patriots Rally II. We can provide support to those Patriots in D.C. who will rally in support of our troops and the War on Terror. This coming Friday, October 25, 4:45p, we have our chance to send off the leftists. We can provide them with a warm and fuzzy feeling for their 11+ hour ride.
Here is the information, straight from the International Answer site...
----------------------------------------------------- CHICAGO, IL - Oct. 26 TRANSPORTATION: Buses depart 5:30 PM Friday, October 25, from Grant Park behind the Art Institute. The buses will be parked on Columbus Drive between Adams and Jackson and are returning to the same location Sunday morning, October 27. Price = $70.00. ------------------------------------------------------
No matter were you are in the Chicago area, Grant Park is easily accessible, either by personal or public transportation.
If you can be there, please RSVP to me. If you want to ask other FReepers to carpool, I would be more than happy to help get that going. Just give me the general area you live and I will blast an email to everyone.
If you have ideas for signs, please either post or send them to me via FReepmail.
Lets make this the biggest, most successful, Chicagoland FReep yet!
May I humbly suggest a few rounds of "We don't care what you say, we're gonna bomb them anyway!"
They really love that one too.
See #5 and #9. : )
RedWing, count me in! I'm gonna be yelling this one at them as loudly as I yelled "How's Monica, Bill?" at the last freep you 'n I were at!
LMFAO!!! Afterwards, I say we retire to the Berghoff for a few rounds of my favorite Berghoff dark and a nice dinner. Whatcha say?
GMTA!!! Last week while walking through Kluczynski Federal Plaza (Jackson & Clark, downtown Chicago) I happened by a group of the anti-war bed-wetting urine-soaked peaceniks as they were beating their war drum chanting "no blood for oil!" I walked right in front of the 50'ish pony-tailed hippie freak peacnick, got right in his face, took 3 deep sniff's (sniff, sniff, sniff!) then shouted at him "Try soap next time, MORON!" And then as I walked away, I yelled at him "Didn't your daddy tell you back in the 60's to get a f***ing haircut already?!" and then went on my merry way.
It was a fine fall morning in Chicago, indeed!
And RedWing my friend, EVERY DAMN' morning these idiots are out there, I let 'em have it. It's at the point that they see me coming and do anything & everything to not make eye contact and turn away from me. :-)
I have my own little "freep" every morning. LOL!!!
Weekend before election day. Who's going to waste time on something that won't gain a single vote?
On his way up, Dick Mell did his best to get his opponent to divert energy "out of ward". I know. I was there.
Now we're going to do it for him without any energy on his part? No wonder our side is struggling.
The only message to be heard on Iraq, or any issue, is the message delivered election day.
Which was the same response I got when I alerted freepers about the "Rally for Workers Rights" that demanded felons, border-hoppers, and other criminals get the same "rights" as law-abiding Amreican citizens. Sadly, there a lack of outrage from our freeper community. Perhaps freepers are more interested in protesting individuals than protesting leftist groups.
In any case, you can count on me to be there the 25th.
For of those you who perfer freeping candidates because it's election time, there will amble opportunity to protest "Dick" Durbin and Mike Madigan's little girl on Nov. 2nd. Check the Illinois Leader or freepmail me for details.
See you at Michigan Ave and Jackson, 4:45p. We will head toward Columbus Drive at about 5p to find our targets. Keep those sign ideas coming!
The sign I'm bringing with me tomorrow says "ONE Iraqi Nuclear Weapon Can Ruin Your Whole Day."
I'm hoping for some opportunities to FReep my local anti-war crowd if they'll just stay in one place long enough for me to show up...One thing I'm trying to do is adapt classic anti-war/no nukes slogans to the war on terror. That should really tick off the older hippie types. For example, "Smallpox is not good for children and other living things."
You might also try "Why are you protecting baby-killers?" and "Iran. Kuwait. Saddam does 'Blood for oil'"
NAAAAAAAPALM
Will stick to Saddam!
Hey how about this: A sign that says "Congratulations, you agree with Neville Chamberlain!" Then count the clueless nosepickers who ask who Neville Chamberlain is...and be sure to explain it to 'em real good.
And don't let the negative comments ruin your enthusiasm, either. You guys are doing a good thing!

Since I will be in St. Louis from Thurs.-Sun. afternoon, I am unable to go the Chicago freep (And I'm really disappointed...those freakin' peacenik HYPOCRITES need a good freep!)
Best of luck to all who attend (and PLEASE attend!). Let me know how it went. Win just one more for BillyBoy.

The NoIraqWar-Chicago.org site is offering a chance to protest at noon on Sat in Federal Plaza. This is being sponsored by the Committee of 100. See this site for what little information it provides.
I had some emergency back surgery on Tuesday and am probably not going to make it down Friday night. Supposed to stay off my feet a few days.
Sorry to disappoint, I was really looking forward to chanting "We don't care what you say, we're gonna bomb 'em anyway!" as Kristinn suggested.
Please guys, give 'em hell for me! Do me a favor, yell at the first post-60's 50'ish long haired hippie you find to "get a f***ing haircut already!"
Good Work Barnacle!
