Palm Beach County Screws up ballots again!

October 24, 2002 More ballot problems for Supervisor's office Yesterday Adam Hasner was in the Supervisor of Elections main office. He was there because he had received a phone call from a supporter who said Mr. Hasner's name was not listed as a State House District 87 candidate. (This seems to mirror what happened when a bunch of ballots going out for the September 10th primary without any names listed for the School Board race.) After much discussion it was learned that Mr. Hasner's supporter had been sent the wrong absentee ballot. Mr. Hasner was told by staffer Patty Bedard that she felt this was an "isolated incident" but Mr. Hasner wanted proof that no one else would be in this position. He got nowhere. No surprise there these days. How could they prove it anyhow? Palm Beach County has hundreds of thousands of voters in a zillion little tiny precincts and districts. If only 1% of the voters received the incorrect ballot, that's about 750 people whose right to vote would be compromised.

David Floering filed a Freedom of Information request for absentee ballot information to Theresa LePore on October 4th which is still pending despite the three day time frame for FOIA requests. Yesterday Ms. LePore told Mr. Floering that no information would be provided and to get a court order in order to force her to produce documents. This stinks. There must be something very wrong if this information is being kept from the public view. We are extremely disappointed in Ms. LePore's handling of this matter.

Adam Hasner is a Conservative Republican Candidate. David Floering is a local Conservative activist. Something smells fishy here!

Just more democratic skullduggery.

Will they get away with it?

They got away with it in '00.
They got away with it in the primary.
They got away with it in N.J.

If the Republicans are not alert in south Florida, the democrats will steal the election from beneath their noses.

South Florida Republicans : Fight the democrats with everything that is in you. Don't allow them to steal this election. Your homes, guns, freedom to speak out on issues, and freedom to worship as your concience dictates is at stake.

How about Florida just booting Palm Beach County out of the state and making it a borough of New York City?

Sheesh, how could we forget that wench? Seems like it was just yesterday.

How did she ever keep that job after the 2000 fiasco is what I want to know.

These people aren't just stupid, they're evil and stupid.
What happened to "everyone has the right to have their vote counted?"
Where are the democrat lawyers who are suppose to make sure these elections are on the up and up? Looking the other way? They call themselves lawyers? Or are they closet commies? (retorical question)

E-mailed this to Rush. I'm sure he's been keeping up on the Democrat lawlessness and voter fraud going on around the country lately. There's been more exposure than usual.

Sorry, the second paragraph of the article is unclear.
David Floering filed a request to review the absentee ballots from the Sept. 10th primary. It is being reported locally that some of the primary ballots may have been tampered with. The article is taken from a website that updates every day and the reporting is done in a sort of serial format. Earlier stories on the site explain his suspicions.

remember the Butterfly Ballot??? I have been thinking about that, and who could have dreamed up such a design. I mean a metal strip between folding sheets of paper?????

The ONLY reason I can think of was that they could stack a bunnch of them and poke a hole through their candidate thereby ionvalidating and vote for anyone else. (two holes)

If the metal strip was not there you could not push a pencil through a stack of them.

What other purpose could there be for that metal strip??

It's not the written ballot that they counted, it was the IBM punch card underneath it. You pushed a poker through the hole in the ballot and hit the card.

"What other purpose could there be for that metal strip??"

To prevent all these muscle-bound "grandmas and grandpas from punching the hole so hard that it would tear the entire ballot.

Pandora's Box has been opened. The Dems just do whatever it takes, knowing that the Reps will do nothing. This, IMHO, will be the demise of America.

OK...you get a large tomato, a bunch of grapes, a cantelope, and a claw hammer. Tape faces of the candidates on each one. Whichever one they don't smash to pieces, they voted for.

These people aren't just stupid, they're evil and stupid.

They are single minded, unethical, and brazen. Single mindedness can be a good attribute in a contest, and is perfectly legitimate. Lack of ethics is a result of their value system. In the end, nothing can be done about it. They are increasingly brazen because they continue to get away with their misdeeds. Much can be done about this, but they must be called out. Their friends n the media will not do this. Only public outrage and support of the Republicans can slap them down. Why not start this November 5th.

IMO, you're close to being right, Hildy. I think the Democrats have it figured like this: In 2000, Republicans flew into Florida from all over the country to stop the theft of the presidency.

They looked at that and concluded that if they multiplied their effort all over the country, there wouldn't be enough pubbies willing to sacrifice enough in order to challenge them. Therefore, they win.

In their book, if they win, then whatever they did to win is good, because winning is good. They think this way because of a congenital brain disease, the result of inter-breeding.
