No, his opinions changed from timeslice A to timeslice B, based on new data.

Here on earth, we call that learning, which the omniscient, by definition, are not party nor patron to.

Finally, police realised the car they were looking for. But Chief Charles Moose refused to reveal the number plate. It was only when one of his team leaked it that the pair were found one-and-a-half hours later.

If this is true, why was Moose holding back? My only answer would be so that Law Enforcement officers would nab them? Any other conclusions?

Sinkspur flatly stated that the shooter was white. Now he claims he doesn't comment on things he knows nothing about.

If you can't see the difference between hypocrisy and a change of opinion based on new evidence, there probably isn't much I can do to help.

Not anymore, thanks to the NEA. Besides, there is always deception.

I should have been more specific and referred to the phrase "Dear Mr. Policeman" which sounded juvenile or someone whose first language was not English.

do to help.

Nope, not much, but tell me, have you maintained one singular hypothesis as to the ID of the snipers, throughout this entire investigative process, which did not require adjustments to your model, because you are, indeed, omniscient?

I am sick and tired of hearing people charge "Hindsight's 20/20".

The point of this is to learn where the mess ups were (and they were indeed many), and correct them. LE throughout the country has been made impotent by political correctness. PC thought needs purging if the country is to remain safe. It is as simple as that.

"At the time, law enforcement was going with what the previous profiles had been, 95% of the time."

No, that's not true. Whites are only responsible for 55% of all American serial killings, even though they represent 70% of the American population.

What the police and media were doing (as did you, as I seem to recall you making bizarre claims that the killer was a young white male American) was policing based upon their own personal racial biases.

They were looking exclusively for an angry white male American, even though angry white male Americans aren't exactly known for writing notes in poor English that say "word is bond".

The snipers were able to pass through ten police checkpoints at ten different shooting locations and have their car tag run each time without triggering the invasive vehicle searches that were going on for all white males driving white vans. This had NOTHING to do with the evidence at hand and EVERYTHING to do with their own personal racial biases.

Moreover, the killers were maintaining strict "one shot, one kill" discipline; hardly a trait associated with their published profile of a Y-Generation 20 year old instant-gratification kid.

In short, the only reason that the killers were caught is because they called the cops so much that they finally slipped and handed the police a clue that amounted to a confession.

But wait, even then the police almost blew it. The cops hung up on the kid 6 times in a row because they were so racially biased that they didn't take a Black Jamaican teenager seriously. The police were listening for an angry white male to call them up, and that never happened.

Hindsight's great, ain't it?

Let's you look at all the things you would have looked at if you knew you were supposed to look at them at the time.

Muhammad & Malvo have had numerous run-ins with INS/FBI/local law enforcement agencies. See the below article which chronicles his time in Billingham. In one instance the FBI was notified Muhammad inquired how to make a silencer.

Suspect left danger signs in Bellingham (FBI had Terror Tip on Sniper Muhammad, October, 2001!)

Muhammad was twice court marshaled, he also had brushes with the law in Antigua, and other locations.

Malvo and his mother were detained and released by the INS.

The police spotted their Caprice 10 times during the shooting spree, but were too focused on white guys in a white van.

Hindsight? No, what I see are a lot of missteps by a number of law enforcement agencies.

"juvenile"

Yes, it did. That was also the first thing I thought when I heard they were asking for $10M. When it was announced it was to be wired to a stolen credit card acct. I figured they didn't really want any money, it was just a diversion. Turns out it was worse than juvenile, it was stupid. If they would have posted that note folks would have known they were looking for stupid, not cunning.

The Chief Moose and his Moosemen refused to consider mooselims in their data. So naturally, they aren't going to predict the killer is a mooselim. Who's fault is that?

If the police had put all of the cars in the area around every sniper shooting into a database, and then looked for cars which appeared more than once, I'll bet they could have caught the sniper very quickly.

Carrying out the attack is easy, it's the escape that's so difficult, and even if you can escape once, escaping multiple times is much harder.

I suspect this happened to me, in fact, for certain federal employment. Lots of computerized testing, apparently a proprietary version of the MMPI, (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) with inane questions similar to:

After a hard day at work, I enjoy torturing small animals.

Guess I would have screwed up the curve. Oh well.

They had the benefit of notes, calls, all sorts of evidential communication which we never got while people were being killed, whereas there's a glut now of particular relevant information.

I have no idea who Sinkspur is, or even IT, for that matter, but the point is, once we (the people) were given accurate anecotal evidence, we slammed down on the perps instantly. In the meantime, we had developed all sorts of freaky models because we were starved for relevant data.

The point is this: The data were flawed all along. They never dared to include muslims when doing their profiling. And thus the model stunk to high heaven. Of course, it didn't have the ability to predict a muslim was responsible, and they knew it, but Moose and his boosters refused to adjust. It's a case of willful negligence if you ask me.

This case is a first. It is the first time someone has gone around just killing strangers and not sticking around.

Charlie Manson may disagree....
