Prevent Saudi Oil Profits

Subject: Contributions to Saudi Arabia
Where do you buy your gas??? Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from. Major companies that import Middle Eastern oil: (Barrels per year) >Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels >Chevron/Texaco....... 144,332,000 barrels >Exxon /Mobil............. 130,082,000 barrels >Marathon.................. 117,740,000 barrels >Amoco................ …….62,231,000 barrels
If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
>Citgo 0 barrels >Sunoco 0 barrels >Conoco 0 barrels >Sinclair 0 barrels >BP/Phillips 0 barrels >Hess 0 barrels
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. are required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis.
Keep this list in your car; share it with friends. Stop paying for terrorism.............But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp out at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

Good article. Unfortunately, none of those non ME oil using companies have stations in my area. At least I don't recall see any. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Sorry, guy. Petroleum products are bought and sold out of a big worldwide pool, and trying to "direct" your dollars to one or another source is nonsense.
To: MoralSense
You are correct. Oil companies "exchange" products at each other's loading racks to reduce freight. Pipeline breakout tanks co-mingle crude and finished products.
Its almost impossible to avoid a particular supplier.

The money from the offending companies still pays for oil from specific countries. It does not matter where each individual barrel ends its journey. What matters is, some companies have chosen to contract with terrorist nations.

Crap and peanuts.
What is the White House and George Bush going to do?
That's the question.

I only fill up at Sinclair. It's right by my work and it's coffee rocks! I've seen this list before and remembered..

BP is owned by Amoco

Don't pass the buck. Once a month you can go to the Dept. of Energy website to see how much money your favorite gas company is directing toward specific countries. When you made an effort as a consumer, then your question of the "White House and George Bush" will be valid.

Perhaps your're right. But i'm too lazy and apathetic to care about about which companies are importing from where and to evaluate that info.
My question regarding Bush is stil and evermore so, valid and pertinent.
Your attempts to make a personal effort necessary to criticise the powers that be are childish and reflective of agitprop strategy.

backwards. Amoco was purchased by BP.

Let's assume for a second that everyone in the USA reads your post, nods his or her head in agreement and starts filling up only at Sinclair or BP instead of these other companies. Where do you think Sinclair and BP are going to get the gasoline to meet the increased demand?
I agree with your basic idea. We're paying to arm the terrorists in a fairly direct manner. It seems to me it would hurt the Islamic terrorist funding sources more if we could switch to alternative fuels like hydrogen or fuel cells. Of course it is more expensive for us and will take longer.

This is AT LEAST the fourth time this has been posted. The facts about which companies bring in mid East oil are wrong and the economics as applied to oil are just stupid.
To: ReadMyMind
Where do you think Sinclair and BP are going to get the gasoline to meet the increased demand? Not to mention that BP has owned Arco and Amoco for years!!
To: Mashine
How about getting the gas stations to post HUGE signs that declare or deny their ultimate petrolium source???
We do NOT sell Arab oil !!!
