Congress comes back next Tuesday. The President could call them back tomorrow if he wanted to, but that would be a little dramatic.

"I'm pleased with the resolution we put down, or we wouldn't have put it down."

He can't give the media any indication that he's "gloating". He might not be gloating, but I see the little gleam each time he mentions "lame duck" session.

new resolution is tough...he's pleased with it.
spoke with russian and french leaders...optmistic about resolution vote. we will disarm him
To: Mo1
Let me know if that old bag of laundry decides to pipe up and then rudely interrupt the President while he's trying to answer her question. Helen's always good for a laugh.
To: Darlin'
Perhaps the networks now understand that the people LIKE THIS MAN........and care about what he does.

Get lost. I'd like to see you go through the stress he has been in these past few weeks.
He's doing a great job.

Presidential? You mean like your choice of language?
To: alley cat
I think he looks irritated Cannot imagine how irriating it would be to have to go face these bunch of vulchers? The press makes my skin crawl with their tackiness!
To: Slip18
Disarmament... that's been Bush's line the whole time. Invasion and war came from the press.
To: Slip18
Liberal dependency on display during past year and rejected in election will be repealed.
1) Homeland Security Dept. - liberals held captive by unions.
2) Terrorism Insurance - liberals held captive by trial lawyers
The urgency of these issues and the way they were presented to voters during the campain dictate they are addressed ASAP and then clears the plate for other issues at the start of the next term.
