We are about to go to war in an area surrounded by muslim countries. We must have ground bases in the area or our troops will be totally impotent. The reason he is reaching out is not to asuage the American muslims it is to guarantee he can have those bases available. GWB knows what he is doing and I have learned that what he does has worked.People who second guess him are usually find themselves looking pretty foolish.

GW thanks Rev Billy Graham for being instumental in his introduction to the real Lord Jesus and His re-birth into the family of God...
You know how the Graham family stands on this issue...

Yep, and maybe these "leaders" will question him about his faith and he can point them to the cross. Good for our President, I am proud of him.

It would be encouraging to have the Temple [Mount] 'rededicated' on Chanukah, which begins this year on the last Friday of Ramadan. A few hundred thousand worshippers could cause that bulge to give way. Wouldn't that be something.

lots of pork and beer Served by the girls from Hooters.

I'll roast in hell...... So, what has changed. You hated W since the time you were born.

If W can change the mental state(irrational hate of the unbelievers) of just 1 imam, or mullah it would have been worth the price of a diner. Let's give W a chance, after all
how much did the USA flushed down the drain on WELFARE.

Too bad the Infidels don't drink. Bush could get them all "ham"mered and get them to divulge which Mosques are the terror cells.

It's not unfortunate that they voted republican. It's unfortunate that they have become significant US voting block. Sure, now that they're here, Republicans have no choice but to jockey for their votes.

Ramadan is the most irritating time of year imaginable if you live in a Muslim country. Even in Turkey it's a royal pain. For the devout, nothing may pass the lips between dawn and dusk, and making whoopee is forbidden also. Out of respect, beer gardens serve only soft drinks in the evening. If Ramadan occurs during one of the warmer months, like June, grit your teeth and endure. Serious practitioneers can go nuts, jumping on school buses and cursing out bus drivers and the like. It's a condition known as "Ramadan Head," and it all adds to the mix. It can be amusing, at times.
One loses sleep during this month. Before dawn, some guy walks around the neighborhood with what must be a replica Ottoman war drum, banging it loud enough to wake the dead, so that everyone can get up and gorge themselves before the sun comes up. This infernal instrument, when played properly, sounds like a tractor trailer going sixty miles an hour with half a dozen flat tires. After Ramadan, everyone breathes a long sigh of relief, until the drummer knocks on everyone's door to get paid for the previous month's incessant friendly reminders. As these guys make out like bandits in better neighborhoods, I felt no guilt at all when I told him "Thank you, but I have an alarm clock," and closed the door in his face. Had I lived in a poorer neighborhood I think I would have been more understanding, though, out of respect for the neighbors.

". . .the plan to win this continent to the path of the infidel Turk will seem a thing unbelievable. But there is no doubt about its being presed with all the fanatical zeal for which the Mohammedans are noted."
Syracuse Sunday Herald 25 June 1922
In response to first Muslim immigrants of the 1920s who declared: "WE ARE GOING TO CONQUER AMERICA."

For reasons such as I wrote about in post #33, Ramadan is the only time I would ever prefer Athens to Istanbul.

It's a good thing that anyone who wants to return Turkey to Islamic law will quickly find himself thrown in the slammer, but quick.

No. I became disgusted with Bush after seeing his background and listening to him talk. He's been a pampered drifter most of his life receiving largess from family contacts and position. He has not bothered to prepare himself for the presidency or much of anything else. He expects to coast through the presidency as he has coasted through the rest of life. He's not too bright. I don't like his views on immigration. Before it's over we are going to lose several states to a Mexicican invasion while financing it here. He knows nothing about economics and the destruction of this economy will take place during his watch. He is out of place in the presidency.

You're preaching to the choir.
To: Mortimer Snavely
You're preaching to the choir. You've been in that part of the world, what would the Muslim equivalent be? You're Imam-ing to the Imams?
