So do I! Please, Hillary, run, run, run!
The good guys need ONE MORE BIG LANDSLIDE!!!

No, but the State Dept. is going to perform a 'skit' of gang-raping a young virgin muslim in front of her parents and family because her grandparents thought the Iranian mullahs were kind of over the top...just so everyone feels right at home during their holiday festivities...

Most of us knew what we were getting and many, many of us are pleasantly surprised. Compassionate Conservativism sounded a lot like 'liberal light' to me, but the entire experience has exceeded my expectations...beats the alternative while the country regains is constitutional, moral and patriotic, sovereignty-loving-bearings.

Oh, Bushie Bush Bush, will you ever get it?

There's plenty of guys like me around and we're hoping the commie bi$%h runs. Is there any way we can facilitate the process?

This is exactly the same sort of noise I've heard describing every President's new, bold, visionary foreign aid policy since, hell, since at least Nixon. As Bush adminstration officials have been telling Eurosocialists, poverty pimps and envirowhacks, it's not words, or good intentions, but actions that matter. This is the most activist conservative adminstration since Reagan. Why do you have nothing but dismissive bitches to offer? If you where complaining to further even greater action, that might some sense, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Most freepers are here, and engaged in politics and current events, because they want to make difference, or help those who can. I don't know why you're here, although I suppose it is enevitable that every forum will have its acid cynics.

If conservatism today means the President of the USA telling an assembly of Mexican politico/caudillo types that we are, in Bush's own words,
duty-bound to share our wealth with poor nations, then Christ have mercy on us.
This makes Huey "Kingfish" Long the most conservative politician we have ever seen. He quoted the Bible often enough to support his plundering buffoonery, that's for sure.

Here's an appropriate 8th century Turkish proverb:
"Though you throw a bridle over the ass's head, he does not become a horse; though you dress a captured girl in a robe, she does not become a lady."

In addition, the Treasury Department and Islamic charities in the United States were developing "a voluntary set of best-practice guidelines" to prevent the use of funds for criminal and terrorist activities, the official said. LOL! What a pathetic, but very humorous, age we live in!
Islam is a great religion, but was hijacked by its founder, Muhhamed.

Most freepers are here, and engaged in politics and current events, because they want to make difference... You are implying something very important - that words are very powerful. What more is FR about, than words? You can give of all your time and energy to your kids, and hug them, but if you constantly tell them you hate their guts, they will be confused at best. We desperately need leaders who will speak the truth, not professional politicians.

We desperately need leaders who will speak the truth, not professional politicians. The necessary task is do both. A truth teller won't last five seconds without political skills, and will therefore never be able to lead. Bush comes as close to being both an effective politician and a truth teller as anyone I have seen since Reagan. I'm not sure what you want or expect in a leader, but I suspect it only exists in comic books, and not in the real world.

Aside from compassion and humanitarianism, however, helping to stimulate the economic growth of developing nations is in our interest. In driving democratization, good governance, and broader adoption of acceptable civil values abroad, aid is the carrot to the stick of military force. In this case the carrot is cheaper than the stick.

Love him if you feel you must, but love him as you would a child born with Down's syndrome. Realize he will never be more than marginally competent and that rgardless of his intent his limitations are such that his actions will be haphazard and destructive.

And Christ wound up nailed to a cross, which is just about the result Bush and fools like you are going to do to this country.

"Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them" (Koran 2:191) again. This is what our madman leader is inviting for dinner. The main course to be eaten is us.
