I suggest you remove your politically correct head from its unnatural location, and begin using it to find out what Islam is all about. Once you do that, you'll cease spewing such silly lectures, and get down to the real work at hand: finding a cure for Islam.

With regards to a religion of Satan.

When Lucifer became Satan and stated his 5 "I wills", he characteristically advances a counterfeit to God. It might be noted that just as any 'religion' will seek to advance a counterfeit plan to His plan or a system of philospohical positions tied to possibly the spiritual domain to counterfeit God's plan. Accordingly any such counterfeit system might be considered 'satanic' or adversarial to His. It is probably more meaningful to describe such religions as 'evil' as they are devises to promote a system counterfeit to God's plan and contrary to His will.

Perhaps a threat to promote evil here at home which poses a closer risk, is any counterfeit system based upon our will placed above that of God. Most notably, if one takes the position that the symptoms observed in militant Islamic belief give justification to eliminate Muslims and instead of remaining faithful to God on His terms, we establish policies to oppose 'fundamentalism' for the sake of 'feel-good' moderation, then we fall into the evil trap of 'do-gooder-ism'.

Do-gooders are in many ways just as evil as vengeful militant Muslims when they seek to promote their will over God's will.

For example, when the elder Bush agreed to Saudi demands to disallow the distribution of Bibles amongst US fighting forces during coalition building of Gulf War I, a very good case might be made for the evil inherant in the US foreign and military policies. Rather than a case of good fighting evil, we simply become another evil being allowed to destroy another evil in God's plan.

While we have the opportunity to decide our actions, I strongly encourage study of God's Word, so that when awkward situations arise, one already has doctrinally based viewpoints to remain in His will. God Bless.

As a corralary to:

Joe 6-pack's Questions for Liberals

and

Joe 6-Pack's Homeland Defense Act

Allow me to introduce, "Joe 6-Pack's Brief History of Islam."

Over the last 14 centuries, many singular and significant events have forged the face of modern islam. Take for instance the time the paid-for-profit mohammed (known to his co-conspirators as, "Ole mo") was confronted while molesting his first child. The child's father observed mohammed (piss be upon him), kneeling on top of his child. The father asked, "What the #$%& do you think you're doing?" Surprised at the father's sudden arrival, the pervert mohammed looked up suddenly, the child's undergarments clinging to his hair. (To this day, followers of mohammed wear diapers on their heads!) Having disturbed the profit's prayerful and blessed acts, the father was executed and the die for modern islam was cast. While the founding of the religion of piece and the half moon were important, they pale in comparison to subsequent events which constitute:

Joe 6-Pack's Brief History of Islam

Believe it or not, all of the following events ARE true!!

1969 - Joe 6-Pack is born.

1971 - Cat Stevens releases, "Teaser and the Firecat," including the hit song, "Peace Train."

1977 - Cat Stevens converts to islam, and adopts the name, "Yusuf Islam."

1987 - The Administration of Ronald Wilson Reagan grants Joe 6-Pack a four-year Army ROTC Scholarship.

1987 - 10,000 Maniacs releases, "In My Tribe," featuring a cover of Stevens' (or is it islam's?), "Peace Train." 1988 - Joe 6-Pack, college student, Army ROTC cadet, purchases a CD-player and a first run edition of, "In My Tribe."

1989 - Ayatollah Khomenei places a price on the head of Indian Author, Salman Rushdie, for telling the truth about islam. 1989 - The death threat against Rushdie becomes the subject of heated debate by pantywaist journalists in the U.S. who can't decide if it's more important to celebrate diversity or protect the freedom of speech. In the wake of such publicity, Stevens/islam, himself having been, substantially, "propheted," by artistic freedoms, endorses the hit on Rushdie. 1989 - 10,000 Maniacs pulls Stevens/islam's "Peace Train," from subsequent editions of, "In My Tribe." Joe 6-Pack is in possession of a collector's item. The following interview article by John Soder appears in SCENE:

1989 - "It was kind of a mistake," admits 10,000 Maniacs bassist Steven Gustafson when asked about the cover of Cat Stevens' Peace Train that appears on his band's breakthrough 1987 album, In My Tribe. "We were strongly urged by the higher-ups within our record label's brain trust to give the song a try for the sake of album sales. We nearly flipped a coin to decide whether or not to do it. As it turned out, the song did help radio programmers realize that we weren't a bunch of lunatics."

Despite their misleading moniker, the Maniacs' sanity is no longer in question. Cat Stevens is another story. Late last year, Stevens publicly supported the late Ayatollah Khomeini's call for the head of Satanic Verses author Salman Rushdie.

"Stevens is certainly entitled to be a fanatic if he wants to be," says Gustafson. "But now I think he must've been kidding when he wrote that song."

1992 - Joe 6-Pack receives his Army Commission and is stationed at Ft. Riley, KS.

August 8, 1993 - Near the Medina marketplace, in Mogadishu, Somalia, at just before 9:00 a.m., a command-detonated mine, containing approximately 50 pounds of explosives, is detonated under a military police patrol. A second trail vehicle, with five MP, assists the mortally wounded driver and secure the scene. Killed in the explosion are the driver and three other MP's:

SPC Mark Gutting, age 25, from Grand Rapids, Michigan
SPC Keith Pearson, age 25, from Tavares, Florida
SGT Christopher Hilgert, age 27, from Danville, Indiana,
all members of the 977th MP Company, Fort Riley, Kansas SSG Ronald Richerson, age 24, from Portage, Indiana, a member of the 300th MP Company, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

SSG Richerson (promoted posthumously) was due to rotate back to the states in a matter of days. The 977th from Ft. Riley was relieving Richerson's unit, and Richerson was introducing the Ft. Riley soldiers to the AO when they were welcomed to the country by practitioners of the religion of pieces.

1995 - Joe 6-Pack is reassigned from Ft. Riley, KS to Ft. McClellan, AL. On the day of his scheduled pack out, two mid-east bastards arrive at residence of Joe 6-Pack and proceed to pack his baggage and household goods in compliance with their Army Transportation contract. Joe 6-Pack offers the movers, "a beer or anything else." The movers reply that they dare not consume alcohol...they are moslems. Packing and loading have been completed and the packers (pakis? pakirs?) remain for quite some time as a conversation regarding islam ensues. The pakirs boast about the rigors of their religious tradition and appear to brag (in retrospect) all too specifically about the fact that thieves, in islamic cultures, are punished by having a hand chopped off.

1995 - Joe 6-Pack arrives at his new duty station, Ft. McClellan, AL, and arranges for delivery of baggage and household goods. Upon receipt of his shipment, Joe 6-Pack conducts an inventory where it is observed that, in an indexed collection of over 150 CDs, two are missing. Both are out of print and irreplaceable. The disks include the original run of, "In My Tribe," (with the Peace Train Cover) and Roger Waters', "Pros and Cons of Hitchiking," (The cover, without the, "black-box,") which, ironically, featured a song titled, "Arabs With Knives.

2001 - Joe 6-Pack, now a civilian in Louisiana, learns the Pentagon has been struck by a commercial jetliner commandeered by, "Arabs with Knives." Joe 6-Pack's brother is assigned to the Pentagon, and Joe 6-Pack endures almost 16 hours of mind-numbing terror while he tries to contact his brother and/or his sister-in-law, and/or any other person who might kindly advise if his brother is alive, injured, dead or missing. Ultimately, good news is received.

2002 - Joe 6-Pack's nephew, 8-year-old, home-schooled son of Joe 6-Pack's brother of Pentagon fame, and resident of Fairfax County, VA trains throughout the spring and summer months for his first junior triathalon...an event planned to foster American values of healthy competition, sportsmanship, recognition of excellence and physical fitness. Said juniot triathalon is cancelled because a 41-year-old NOI freak and his jamaican butt-boy have declared open season on all things American. Fortunately, they are even too damn stupid to outwit Cheif Moose.

In conclusion, it is the opinon of Joe 6-Pack that the History of islam has been entirely too long.

In regards to freedom of religion, the etymology of the term originally might be better interpretted today as freedom of 'denomination'. A relationship with God on His terms was the only recognized true belief when those political terms were coined. E.g. One might seek to obey the laws of God and laws of man as a Methodist, a Catholic, Anabaptist, Presbyterian, or as a Jew. They all based their doctrines upon study of the Word of God and sought to worship Him on His terms.

Judeo-Christian acknowledgment of the Messiah understood God's providencial relationship with the Jews and the Gentile times via Christ. Those who reject God are simply unregenerate.

Present luke-warm definitions of religion which allow any form of spiritism, or belief can also be taken to an extreme. One could respect a 'religion' based entirely upon criminality. Such a freedom is self-contradictory.

The main reason we colloquially accept beliefs other than Judeo-Christianity, IMHO, is that most people simply don't study Scripture and associate anything dealing with the spiritual domain or belief of supernatural beings as qualification of 'religion'.

By no means did the founding fathers interpret the Islamic, "Convert or be killed" policy as a comparable 'religion'.

"But the president has made it clear that our enemies do not include peaceful muslims."

Bush is a skillful politician.

He could have just as easily said, "Our enemies do not include square circles," or, "Our enemies do not include all the tall people that are short."

Square circles, short tall people, and IMHO, peaceful moslems, do not exist, and so logically, they are not our enemies....

That was the last administration from Arkansas that did all the windmill tilting, finding enemies where there were none. IMHO there are some moslems that are more timid than others, particularly those that have been harshly subjugated and repressed by their own, but I believe that violence is engendered by the tenets of the religion...And I don't want to hear this B.S. about, "Islam literally translates to, "submission," or surrender." I would love to log onto FR, or watch the news ONE night, One frigging single night, and not hear of a single act of violence perpetrated in the cause of Islam. I'm not saying that there are not (nominally) Christian or Jewish, Or Sikh, etc criminals and terrorists...Just that they know how to take a break once in a while, and in most cases, their acts are NOT perpetrated for religious reasons. You could easily throw the IRA in my face, but I would still argue that they have conducted Political acts in the name of religion. Islamic funda-"mentals" conduct religious acts in the names of politics...and that's the, "fundamental" difference.

"I can support a war against terrorists but not condone killing off muslims who've got nothing to do with the terror. Clear?"

In humility, and for argument's sake, I will concede to and agree with that entire statement. Having become a recent advocate and supporter of your world-view, my first bit of advice is that each and every day, the acts of our brother-moslems are making it increasingly difficult to convince the rest of the world that there is such a thing as a, "muslims who've got nothing to with the terror." Try selling that perspective to Israel. Now consider that what Israel has generally accepted with great restraint for decades has been visited upon skyscrapers in NYC, tourism hubs in Bali, and damn near the tubes in London...

From my #66:

"Now consider that what Israel has generally accepted with great restraint for decades has been visited upon skyscrapers in NYC, tourism hubs in Bali, and damn near the tubes in London..."

...And I mustn't forget, theater-goers in Moscow, and Filipino missionaries.

radical muslim warriors ought be made aware that their choices of targets are really making them look like a bunch of pu$$ies. Let's see...I'm a he-man moslem...let me prove as much by attacking:

a) Any western airline stewardess.

b) A Moscow opera-goer.

c) An Israeli junior school.

d) A western Missionarry in the Phillipines.

e) Any woman that showed a bit of ankle.

If the FBI is building a proper victim profile database, it's likely to indicate the next targets will be our hairdressers, kindergartens and flute recitals. The prophet is proud, I'm sure... the profit would be honored, I'm sure.

RE: your response #60: Damn, you're good. Nice concise response, cogent and powerful.

I was so impressed I checked out your, "as of," date, figuring you'd been a here while, and wondering why I'd not seen your name before. Welcome aboard. We need more well-reasoned and on-targe participation 'round here.

I tend to be bit verbiose, myself...(as if you hadn't noticed.)

Effectively communicating as much information in as few words as possible is an indicator not only of a strong intellect, but a passion for intellectual exchange. Your efforts in all these areas are quite welcome here.

This says it all: DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - A statement attributed to al-Qaida threatened more attacks in New York and Washington unless America stops supporting Israel and converts to Islam, an Arab TV reporter who received the unsigned document said.

You say the people who post anti-muslim posts on Free Republic should be ashamed and you think it ought to stop. I might agree with you IF the so called muslims who don’t agree with terrorism and crazy clerics who believe people should die because they don’t believe in their brand of religion, were to stand up and say so in a VERY LOUD voice. They are not speaking up and their silence speaks volumes.

The United States has done more to feed the poor around the world. The United States has provided medicine and doctors around the world to help people in need. The United States gives money to many countries to help with infrastructure and food. Yes, the United States has made mistakes, but on the whole we have been more than generous with many countries. One example is the 1.9 billion we give to Egypt every year.

They call us evil, but we don’t send our children out with bombs strapped to their bodies to kill people. We don’t fly planes into buildings to KILL 3,000 people. They blame us because children in places like Iraq are dying. They don’t see that Saddam is stealing the food from their mouths in order to hang on to his power and create weapons of mass destruction. Yet when there is a problem in the world, everyone looks at us to solve it and when we do, it’s not good enough.

Muslims in the Middle East do nothing to change their standard of living or to get rid of the despots who rule them. Their jealousy and envy of the United States is propagated by the clerics who want total control over them as well as the rest of the world. They use the Quran to spread their doctrine of hate. They want to force people into believing their brand of religion. They don’t understand forcing people to belong to one religion DOEN’T save their soles. They don’t understand, that it’s not in the religion one belongs that saves their sole, it’s what is in the harts and minds of a person that will their salvation or their doom. If they could accomplish their goal, the entire world would be living in the 6th century.

Yes Americans are angry, very angry and I don’t blame them one bit. So you tell me, who wants their own way?

Very simply put, this is what Islam means to me:

Ignorant

Savage

Lunatic

Archaic

Menance

Message to all who thinks Islam is a religion of peace. Look at their track record and then explain to us how this so called religion is peaceful and harmless.

Joe 6-pack hit the nail on the head!!!

"I will become tolerant of Islam when there are churches and synagogues in downtown Mecca."

You know, I keep forgetting this part. This intolerance of other religions is very disturbing. Oh, and people will say, The Spanish Inquisition, and to that I will say, who today says that was a good thing? But today, 2002, Islam will NOT permit other religions to be practised. Islam may be many things, but it is NOT a religion of peace.

I'm also glad to see, well, of course I'm not really glad, but it's nice when people agree with you, that so many posters feel as I do, that we cannot believe in the Muslim community's patriotism because although they may be whispering it among themselves they sure aren't shouting it from the rooftops.

They are into victimhood, they are allied with the Communist left against Israel, the only Americans to convert in large numbers to this religion are disaffected Blacks, many of them imprisioned criminals. And it is certainly true that even if Jews and Christians have killed many people there is nothing in their doctrine that SAYS to do this, unlike Mr. Mohemmed's Koran. I don't know enough about other religions, but I imagine that Islam is the only one which specifically instructs its followers to kill people and conquer the world.

Islam, the religion of bunk!

Are you trying to say we should wipe out everyone that
refuses to befriend us? Even if they quite contentedly
live beside us and never do us any harm?

Look. I never said the ideology was admirable.
But when a person has never harmed you and never had
any intention to do so, you've no right to harm them.
That is my point.
