"Yeah it is. but many people would say that the strife in the middle east is a result of what the Jews "believe" to be THEIR homeland."

Too easy to [See through] dismiss.

If you can find us documentation older than the Biblical Text [that actually confirms why the Jews "know" that Israel is indeed THEIR homeland] then feel free to provide it.

:o)

Asian elephants and African elephants are different species, but they may have descended from a single pair of elephants on the ark. This is true for almost all species of vertibrates.

But but but That would require EVOLUTION!!!!

No I dont mind speculation either...
Just sharing what to many is the obvious conclusion based on the Scripture.

I dont know if I could ponder DNA technology having been first uncovered at a time of Noah...based on nothing direct or indirect in the text.

:o)

Ever see the documentary "In Search of Noah's Ark"? Fascinating stuff. Don't be so sure that this is all tinfoil hat material.

They even interviewed more than one person who had actually been inside the Ark.

I personally know a missionary in Turkey who has seen it with his own eyes......and yes, on Mt. Ararat.

You have failed to properly recognize that PUGS make up an entire species of their own,

Only because the other dogs refuse to breed with them...

Johnny, Briefly. I am a Christian. I am also a Chemical Engineer. Now that doesn't make me a scientist, but I do know the difference between science and religion. I believe there is a scientific case to be made for the following statements: 1) The earth is relatively young (10,000 years or so rather than 4.5 billion years). 2) Living organisms are too complex to have evolved. 3) Human beings did not evolve from lower lifeforms. 4) A catastrophic event (involving flooding and volcanic activity) affected the earth in a global scale, which creationists call the Flood.

Before the Flood, our environment was much different (higher oxygen content, higher barometric pressure, etc.) which allowed for longer lives and supported the growth of larger animals and plants. (In the fossil record many animals were much larger in the past: sloths, bears, elephants, carnivores (like the saber-tooth tiger), etc. How many dragon flies do you see flying around with 2-3 foot wingspans nowadays? I recall reading that pteranodons and pteradactyls could not function in an modern-type environment. If dinosaurs survived the Flood, they likely became extinct shortly thereafter. However, for example if crocodiles had become extinct, they would probably have been considered a type of dinosaur, even though fossil crocodiles are even larger that the largest ones today.

Since people lived for hundreds of years back then (I guess the bible says this somewhere), Yes. Genesis, chapter 5 and elsewhere. so did the animals...So they grew bigger. Of course, I never asked him what happen to all these giant people...Cro-magnons and Neandertals were significantly larger and more robust that the average modern human. The Hiedelberg Skull (a well-known human fossil) practically is a giant, IIRC.

He also had an intersting theory about the moon...He said because of the rate of dust falling on the moon suposedly being X over the years, we had prepared for about 3 foot of dust being on the surface...But when we got there, there was only inches...This was because the world really WAS only about 7000 years old. There are dozens of very good evidences for a young earth/universe. These have to do with the salt content of the oceans, helium content in the atmosphere, the rate of shrinkage of the sun, the rate of recession of the moon, and even the proximity of galaxies to each other.

He also explains carbon dating and other such "Proof" of a VERY old earth as being God's way of giving us stuff to think about.Carbon 14 dating really only goes back several thousand years is best used to date things like wood or dead (but not fossilized) tissues, not fossils. Other dating methods are based on circular reasoning and assumptions of initial concentrations of isotopes that are just guesses.

There are good websites you can check out that can explain it better than I can. Try www.icr.org or www.answersingenesis.org.

I believe there are many cases of modern dogs having bred with certain wolves ...

Used to have one in my house. A wolf-husky-chow mix. Interesting, but slightly feral beasty, like her owner...

Possibly, but that is a pretty distinctive shape. Also, there was a story about how several decades ago, someone actually stumbled upon a ship.

I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and do not need an Ark. It is interesting from a scientific perspective. Think of how history-making such a find would be!

There also is a story related by some spanish explorers. They landed at a previously uncharted island and discovered a tribe of people living there that had a markedly "Norse" look to them. Blonde Hair, fair skin, blue eyes. (Not sure of the exact details). This group of people spoke a dialect that the spanish had never heard before. These tribesmen made it clear to the Spanish that they were quite surprised to see other men, as their legends and history spoke of a great deluge that wiped out the entire population of the earth except for them. Unfortunately the Spanish ended up wiping this tribe from the face of the earth. Not sure where the island is but it's one of the more commonly known islands in the Caribbean today.

yes thank you ... that's why it doesn't surprise me that Chinese dogs, far removed from the influence of British and European breeding clubs show slightly different genes ... I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are less docile, since that was a trait many tried to put in during the 1800's ... (except for a few breeds of course) ...

I just wanna know how the dogs can understand Chinese? ... hehe ...

Where did you learn this? Hey... I'm a computer artist but I didn't read Mad Magazine to learn anything.

Here's a big clue for you. Look at South America and Africa. They were once joined at the hip.

Continental drift took hundreds of millions of years to separate them.

Did you vote for Perot in 1992?

There is another possibility that is located down lower on some slope and from a flood water volume point of view seems a lot more likely.

Also I would urge restraint considering what the exact nature of the artifact is up there. In theory it could be some kind of large wooden hut put up there thousands of years ago by ancient humans (that is, not necessarily a boat). Or it could be some other kind of artifact, not even necessarily man made...
