A more interesting feature of the flood, is the longevity of man before and after the flood. Antediluvian human life spans were measured in centuries, whereas after the flood the lifespans were closer to 72 years. This implies the first generation after the flood had grandparents who outlived their grandchildren. This also would nicely explain the different accounts of the same events in different cultures.

I'm still wondering where the Flood waters went when they subsided.

We call them oceans. The Genesis account indicates they sprang up from the deep forming large fountains. There probably was some substantial tectonic activity at work as well. Atmospheric weather patterns also greatly changed as rain wasn't recorded prior to the flood, but afterwards the Rainbow was a new observation. Rain drops must reach a particular size for precipitation to occur.

The ark according to the NIV was 450 feet long by 75 feet wide by 45 feet high having three decks of 15 feet. The square feet area of a deck, 33,750 sq ft. is smaller than a modern football field with the field dimensons being 120 by 360, 43,200sq ft. Now on this ark was not only all the animals of the earth in pair but also Noah and family and provisions to last the more than 250 days until the door is opened. Now the total deck surface of the ark is 33,750 x 3 equals 101,250 square feet. And the total volume is 101,250 times 15 or 1,518,750 cubic feet (56,250 cubic yards). Is it possible to store all the animals and provisions for the time period in this space?

Yes, but you have a few misconceptions. It wasn't two of every animal. It was animal "kinds". A kind might be thought of as a species. For example a wolf might be a canine "kind". These "kinds" then diversified into the forms we have today. Also some animals could survive without being on the ark...amphibians, many types of insects, etc etc could survive a flood.

There's many other suppositions that you've got wrong but this is just for starters...

These same people do not believe in Evolution.

Define evolution. It has many meanings.

In other words the changes produced by selective breeding are not permanent, ie, not evolution.

Well said, as I learned it was “gene expression” There was no new genetic information.

Creationist theories about creation of the fossil record during the flood posit floodwater conditions that would kill anything in the water.

Life is full of things that we want, but cannot have. Climbing a mountain in Turkey is really not that important.

more importantly, why do people believe the Ark still exists in any shape or form?

People who claim the earth is only 6 or 7000 years old are idiots, no where in the bible is that number used in fact it says to not concern yourself with ENDLESS genealogies.

With modern power tools it took over 300 man-years of labor to build each of the Ark 'replicas'.
