No, just general paranoia on my part. I freely admit that. That and the government never seems to do what it set out to do. I see homeland security growing into another IRS whether it was meant to be that or not.

Sounds like a reasonable response from JimRob. I disagree however, I think it's much more likely just to give the federal gov't more power over ordinary Americans then to make much of a dent in stopping terrorists.

Without even a basic understanding of what it is you are basing your vote on? Do you know what happens to the INS under this bill? Do you know what powers the president has to discipline government workers under this bill? Do you know what happens to the Coast Guard under this bill? Can you name any 6 of the 22 agencies being consolidated under this bill?
