If they censur Lott then they must censur Byrd

In no way will I ever defend the comments made by Senator Trent Lott, but what should be good for Lott should be good for Byrd. Senator Robert Byrd once had membership in America's most hideous homegrown terroist group that in its history has killed 100's of minorities in a attempt to withhold the most basic civil and human rights.

The Congressional Black Caucus has demanded that Senator Trent Lott be "censured" for his public comments. The leaders of the CBC are hypocrites in not demanding that while censuring Lott that Byrd not be censured as well for his public statements.
