Spooky, you are so beautiful and so are the children. Aren't you fortunate to be near the ocean? It's been a long time since I've seen the ocean. It looks like you are all ready for Christmas. I did get most of my shopping done today, but I still have to wrap all of it.

SAM!! So glad to see you. Isn't this a great thread of all the pets. I'm jealous of everyone who has pets. We've rarely been able to have pets because of our life-style. We have always been on the go and away from home, so I felt it wasn't right to have pets because they would be too lonely and neglected. We had the neighborhood cat, Heathcliff, for 3 years. He recently just vanished. I miss him. We've had mice for pets because they don't require your company to be happy. I loved those little critters, but they don't live very long. Are you ready for Christmas?

Hi Nan! Never was able to have "real" pets when I was a kid, so I'm making up for it now. I have two dogs and two cats.

I'm getting too old for Christmas, I do look forward to the time off though.

Julie, thank you - it's always worth the time and effort seeing these darling little critters smiling at us. The one of Charlie is a prize! That is the prettiest dog and the sweetest picture, with him kissing his own image in the mirror.

Charlie has a sweet nature. Brittany Spaniels are wonderful with children!

As you can see, his coloring is red & white & he has a red nose.
Last Christmas my granddaughter dressed him in reindeer horns and sang 'Charlie, the red-nosed Spaniel!'

Pets add so much joy to our lives!

Too old for Christmas!!?? Aw come on. You got kids. Christmas is always a big deal at our house. Jack is a big kid about it. He just loves everything about Christmas. I'm trying to make this one really special because I'm so thankful that I still have him with me. My daughter and her husband are coming and Jack's little brother, who is like his son, is coming. And of course, Roy & Kelly will be here. If Uncle John feels up to it we will bring him and his wife over for dinner. It will be a little sad that Mom is no longer with us. It will be my first Christmas without a parent alive. That makes one feel very vulnerable.

LOL! Doesn't it though! :) Hey...try this one! My daughter called yesterday. She had gone to the specialty store and bought some little chocolate bottles with some sort of liquer in them. She was all excited because they had "carded" her to make sure she was old enough to buy it! Hmmmmm. Talk about feeling old! Yikes!

And thank you, Billie, for setting this up. What a great idea! It's neat to meet so many cute critters. We have a few here (cough...cough...whew! Is that an understatement!) and I thought I'd let y'all meet some of them.

(in the windowsill) That's Darla smacking poor Gomez on his sweet little head, then Damien and Alfalfa.
(front l-r)That's Sibyl sitting in the sink, Zachary, Chambers, the gray one with his back turned is Wheezer, Sapphire, Buckwheat, behind Buckwheat is Tasmin, and the one you can barely see at the far right is Churchill.

This is the scene I wake up to every day....all these critters ready to go outside. Their "door" is one of those windows. LOL! This is the only time they're allowed on the counter.

If you think this scene is scary, you should see all 36 of our kitties together!!
