I am off to Moran's to join the rest of the chapter in welcoming MadIvan to New York.

I will attempt to post using my pocket PC and my wireless modem as we haven't arranged for a modem connection with a laptop there is no sense on lugging around the extra weight in addition to my camera and camcoder.

We will try to upload some digital pictures as the party is progressing and hope that AT&T has a CDPD node nearby to transmit.

Barring that, we will continue the thread once we get home.

There were a lot of comments yesterday about the "Kiss my NY ass, Hillary" so maybe that one may get some more use. I am sure we can find new slogans as well that will go good with the yellow and black!

Once again Nick came through for us. He was sick as a dog yesterday yet he didnt let us down. He had tee shirts for everyone and as always was upbeat and enthusiastic.

THe tee shirt is in post 51 on this thread, 4 pics from the last one posted. Says United we stand. Nicky designed them and abner silk screened them!

Not only do we freepers hold Nick in such high esteem. Yesterday he told me his first grandchild by his son and daughter in law was born a few months ago and was named after him!

Nick your the man! Teri, your the best as always.

Glad we all still are working together and I trust we still have plenty to do.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate the feedback because I do try to recreate the events I report on with word pictures.

I was unable to travel to New York City for MadIvan's welcoming party; but luckily for me, I will get first-hand accounts from kristinn, GunsareOK, bmwcyle, Ligeia, Doctor Raoul and sauropod at the next DC Chapter meeting. The pictures and reports so far have been great.

Nicky brought all his photos from every single event he attended. He had pictures from all his banner signings with all those who signed. I wish you can see them. I think I will try to make plans with Nick for the two of us to drive down and do something with DC freepers. If it were not a holiday week I would sit down and try and write a report but its just to hectic right now. Both Raoul and Kristinn gave motivational speeches. Sauropod was the MC. One of the door prizes was the talking clinton bear. It was so funny. Oschisms got that one!

I hope we go to Morans again. It was that nice of a place. When you plan on coming to NY let us know. We will do a get together. So many were motivated by yesterdays party.

I wondered about the waitresses and their pol.affiliations. I guess the stone faces were a give-away. At the Linda Tripp SC event, at a restaurant, we got the waitress thinking our way, politically. When we were sure we had transformed her, we doubled her tip. Would it have worked on Moran's gals?

Gotta admit that I have a lotta respect fer NorthEastern conservatives' ability to tolerate living amongst all the Lib'ral ninnies who tend to dominate y'all's politics. I usedta live in RAT Country--Urban Richmond--and it was frustrating to be so outnumbered on election day every other year. Sure, the GOP's made a lotta inroads politically up there, but it tends to be with MilqueToastModerate candidates, many of whose positions would be scorned by VA Pubbies...Keep Holdin' Down the Fort 'til we can git ya some reinforcements!!

Had a conversation on Saturday about how troubling being outnumbered is. What angers me the most is the ignorants who dont care about anything but vote democratic on election day for no other reason than they do.

The approach I take with my ignorant friends is to try and educate them via the high burder of taxes we pay and ask them where the money is going. We are all homeowners getting by some a little better than others. Some of my friends have made no gains in 10 years yet still vote for the Clintons and McCalls ect.

The short-haired waitress was particularly unamused by our anti-Hillary chants and speeches.

The pretty blonde girl just seemed confused, but happy to be getting tips.
