Have you ever hated someone for getting in your way to achieve your life's goal? Really despised him? You've tried to get him to see things your way, to embrace your goal, to see the potential benefits (to you), but he stubbornly refuses and continues his own way. And his "way" is what blocks your progress.
So what can you do? Actually, if you are a moral relativist, your list of options is endless.
Moral relativism rejects the centuries-old notion of moral standards that determine right and wrong; it allows any amount of trickery you can think of, and hatred is fertile ground for dreaming up tricks...(snip)

Thanks WD, this is good!
Another poster pointed out that the Aristocracy never left when we whumped the Brits...
I think that that is germain to the topic...
One thing I can say for them though, they have a lot of patience. To have waited this long to drop the shackles on us is intense. Or perhaps it's jsut that weapons have finally come to the point that only the rich have effective ones..

Actually, the left hates themselves. They are just addicted to projecting.I like your way fo thinking!
To: WaterDragon
Thanks for the Ping WD. Keep up the troublemaking!
BTW -- apologies for the typo in my immediately preceding post. ("fo" instead of "of".) I chalk it up to my first five and a half years of education in the Oregon public school system....
Either that or it was a Freudian slip, since libbos often make me want to say "FO".

I can't say that I ever hated someone because they stood in the way of what I wanted. This is America...If what I want is within the law, I can find a way around whoever is in my way.
What the left wants is to subvert the law of the land and they get blocked at every turn. They want evil because they are evil. If you want to see what real hate looks like, you have to look to the left. The best the right can come up with is cutting satire.
We like to make fun, but we are essentially optomists. We have confidence in our ability to support ourselves, even when we are down. The left are eternal pessimists....their hate is born in that pessimism. I find leftists sad, and a bit pitiful, but I just can't work up any hate for them.

For me that is the point: the Left DOES hate, and it's moral relativism gives it permission to use any "tricks" on us to take away our power.
We outnumber the Left. If that weren't true, they would simply ignore us, there would be no need for political correctness to shut us down. Now, with the rise of the internet and conservative talk radio, their stranglehold on the media is increasingly ineffective in convincing people to just give up.
Neither do I hate. It's pointless and requires energy better used elsewhere, as you say.

Slavery was the accepted norm for most of mankind's history. The word slave, as many people know, comes from Slav. For centuries there were so many Slavics bought and sold that their name became generic for those held in bondage.
The British were the first to outlaw slavery, and the U.S. fought a war eventually to end it. Thus, Western civilization was the first to denounce slavery on moral grounds. Yes, slavery is evil and that is a moral absolute.
