I don't think it's so simple a matter of too much work or discomforting for some of us -- we might want to get involved but we don't know how, or we are a little scared, or we can't afford to go -- the FReeper cruise and various state meetings sound like great fun, but they cost money too and that's not always in strong supply in our household, where sending the kids to college/bills & car payments/church retreats take priority -- Selfish ?? maybe ?

Letters and phone calls we have done -- even tho'I only get "boilerplate" replies from our RINO Senator (Arlen Spector)

Plus... this "activist" stuff...it's just not in the "blood" of most conservatives -- we aren't the rally/marching/signs/protest type...we have families and jobs and houses to take care of, we're responsible and law-abiding and can't imagine standing out in the cold for hours with a sign -- and then we see the coverage that these hate group folks get (full-coverage plus repeats on C-Span/TV and newspaper reports, pictures plastered all over the Internet) compared to the true Patriots like Kristin, Fred and Trueblackman (and the others who bravely stood there in D.C. today)-- they might get a 15 second sound-byte (if that). I hate the hypocricy of the left ("don't kill the innocent Iraqis" coming out of the same mouth that says "don't you dare take away a woman's right to "choose") and the down-right traitorous speeches made today -- but who's going to make our point in the media ? Bill O'Reilly ?? Rush ?? Sean Hannity ?? maybe ...but it sure won't be on CNN, or the "big" networks

I'm earmarking your post in #1013. It has the definite ring of prophecy in it. I foresee such a national event in the near future, also. But FR says it first, thanks to you!

As far as the anti-war protestors today, you have a wildly leftest media and they are always going to choose to cover the left leaning event, especially when Hollywierds are there. If they have a choice, they will cover the left. We can't compete with their numbers since those savages bus people in and pay them. AP said in an article that there were only three dozen people protesting the anti-war protest. None of this should come as a suprise. Luckily, I watched some of the anti-war people and they look like idiots. I say let them have the air time, you couldn't pay for a better commercial against the liberals.

It seems CNN is getting its clymer kicked in audience market ratings. Matt Drudge posts the results quite often on his web site.

Did you write your congress critters yet?
And the unbiased news media?

Don't expect anything besides boiler plate. Response meant something. Numbers mean votes and advertising dollars to these guys. They are not stupid creatures.

One of my best friends is a poodle. And she's never voted for a liberal in her life.

Doesn't look like much of a crowd. Anybody seen an estimate?

Any aerial photos of this crowd? I remember that the MILLION Mom March only attracted a little over 10,000 whackos which is why no aerial photos of that event.

my little voice just isn't going to make a difference when up against organized thugs and haters like we've seen today

Your little voice certainly won't make a difference if you don't use it.

NEVER GIVE UP!

Can someone tell me what they're protesting? Racism, poverty, civil rights and the Viet Nam War have all been mentioned.

Someday they'll be looking fondly back on this as the "protest Woodstock".

She quotes Jimmuh Cartah's nobel peace prize speech: "we will not learn how to learn to live together in peace by killing each other's children.."

Odd -- it worked wonders on the Germans and the Japanese...

Thanks for your comment. I assume you are referring to my exhortation on # 982.

You've always done MORE than your share of REAL activism for FR and FRN. A tip of my Auntie Mame exorbitantly-plumed chapeau to you!
