I have been gone due to some major virus destruction to my computer, bought a new system, and now I can't remember the HTML commands, darnit! Any help would be much appreciated.

Is there an easier way to use HTML, rather than manually typing in the code? ....can I do this with MS Word, for example?

An excellent online HTML tutorial is maintained by the World Wibe Web consortium at http://www.w3schools.com/

I highly recomment it.

Not quite sure what you mean. You can just type in text without any formatting, but you can't skip lines

you can't go to the next line
use bold or italics or anything else unless you use HTML. If you want to transfer text from Word, you can, but you still need to format it in HTML once you do.

I'm thinking that there is an HTML editor with "windows style editing".... where you can then "Reveal Codes", then copy the coded text over to the FR post window.

Could someone give me some simple advice in a 1-2-3 format on how to post a picture? I have an original jpeg picture in a file on my hard drive (C: Drive) but cannot seem to get it posted in the forum (even when I use the html.) Any simple step-by-step help on how I can get this picture from point "A" (My C: drive) to Point "B" (a reply to a post) will be appreciated. WOW! When I wrote down the "img src=" html...and previewed this post the little image box with a x in it appeared...so why ...

HTML Bootcamp (Cyber patriot training) FORMAT HTML CORRECTLY, MAGGOT!!! Greetings. Thought you'd just drop in . . . eh? Well don't sit down yet. Because any momentary lack of alertness, will almost surely result in a reply to some comment you've made, that you thought "innocent." And that reply, will make you wonder, "What the heck are they talking about? You said 'A,' and they jumped all over you for saying 'B,' which you certainly did not say!" Momma! So now that we've dispensed with the non-conflicted and centered state of your mind . . . Recruits! Welcome to HTML ...

HTML Bootcamp from March 21, 2000, seems to load very slowly. (I don't know if this was the most recent version; but it was the one that came up in a Search.) Is it time for an update?      New Users: First, Read HTML Bootcamp to Learn; and Then use HTML Sandbox to actually Practice what you have learned.

Actually, there are a number of tutorials, and ways around having to hand-code html-- follow the "links within links" for details:

Thanks!

Using an HTML cheatsheet will be an improvement over manually typing.

I seem to recall that some, or all, of Netscape's browsers have a built-in HTML editor feature... might be worth a look.

Go to Web Monkey, they have a complete section on HTML, and if I can understand it, anyone can. Very neat site.

You can keep a window open of a blank email. Compose your info in it, then view the source and copy/paste to FR....
