I agree, and my bet is on the Knicks. It's been 30 years since the Big Apple won an NBA ring, and the natives are way past restless. I expect a full house cleaning from them as well, keeping maybe just a few players from their current roster.

The Lakers will pull it together this year just enough to get into the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed, and if they're playing well anything could happen. If I were Sacramento, I'd do my best to resist the urge to be too cocky.

Why would we want Hillary to run AT ALL?

I believe things like this (especially another Clinton presidency) should NEVER be left to chance.

The possibility of her running for the White House should not be allowed to come to fruition, whether in 2004 or 2008 (or even 2012).

Granted, she is a polarizing figure and her candidacy would probably do plenty to get out the Republican vote, but, again, my feeling is that this should not be allowed to happen.

On Brit's show the other night, they were actually discussing whether the GOP put her behind the Joint Chief of Staff at the SOTU so she would be clearly visible to "remind" people of what we're up against.

If somebody did think of that, I hope they keep it up.

But let me remind you what happened in 2000. I'm 110% convinced that the Florida debacle was a planned event. They chose Florida as their Alamo, because Jeb was governor and what better place to pull the rug out from under GWB than in his brother's state - a state GWB was predicted to win with relative comfort.

The outcry of the 'Rats in Florida took away any scrutiny of voter fraud in other states. Remember in Wisconsin, students at Marquette, were gleefully boasting about voting 2,3 or more times. This is just one example. How many other places in this country had the exact same thing going on?

My blood runs cold at the thought of what they have planned for the next election. It is obvious, to us at least, that McAulliffe, the Clintons, and their ilk will stop at nothing to take down our W.

My big fear - those FBI files. The FBI files are the trump card for Hilliary. She will use them, as she has probably already used them.

Just an aside - the other night I was watching Charlie Rose interview Bob Schieffer about his new book. Bob said he knew our W from back in the Texas Rangers days. (Bob's brother was a partner in the Rangers too, I think) He said he was very bright, well read and a really good all-around guy. Charlie says, "Not to name drop here, but I was with Bill Clinton (spit) recently and Bill (spit) says that George W Bush is the best politician he has ever seen".

I say again - We never thought she would be a senator either. This is scary.

I agree totally. She's dangerous. She may not be able to win an honest election but could win if just enough vote fraud is pulled off.

While the justice department has made some progress in improving elections and the GOP grassroots poll watchers and others did an outstanding job in '02, we can't breathe easy yet. It is still entirely possible to lose elections, even a presidential, to vote fraud.

I have great sympathy for those on this forum who appeal to the political radioactivity of Hillary Regina as the insuperable obstacle to her accession to the throne.

However, there is a true axis of evil (Liberal Left/Complicit Media) which Bubba Rex & friends can exploit to overcome the minority of us constitutionalists.

1. HR will not run directly for POTUS in 2004. She will accept a 'draft' for VPOTUS in 2004 as part of the last-minute Democrating brokering process. If the Dems win (low probability now), she bides her time and looks for an Arky Mafia opening. If the Dems lose, she is now ranked in contender status for 2008.

2. Her lower profile as VPOTUS will allow the media to submerge her negatives in a sea of puff pieces.

3. Of course, any Dem POTUS candidate who has HR as VPOTUS better have a paid up life policy.

4. She is all too aware of the volatility/impermanence of the FBI file data that her attorney Kennedy typed into his laptop and other masses of compromising information - she wants to act before 2008.

5. The Clintons are an opportunistic infection of the American Republic, brought on by the lowered immunity of the great malleable middle of the electorate to propaganda. This derives from utter ignorance of the founding principles of our nation. Anyway, the Goebbels machine of the media will be in overdrive once the VPOTUS gambit is revealed. Many, many will be deceived.

6. I believe the Clintons have something on the Bushes - everyone has played kinda nice till now. Hillary really didn't mind that Gore lost - improved her odds. But once the executive office push is underway by HR, there will be a flood of skilfully-timed, last minute releases of this dirt - real and contrived.

7. There are legions of fifth columnist employees in the nation's largest employer - the government - who will work to reinstate Clintonism. Even at the price of undermining Bush policies, the war on terror, etc.

All of that said, the Bush team is tough and will probably prevail. But we must never think that she cannot win. She will do absolutely anything for power.

     In Philadelphia, "people apparently take their civic responsibilities seriously," Stephen Bronar and John R. Lott Jr. write in the New York Post.
     "In that city, 1,025,259 are registered voters out of 1,065,455 residents aged 18 and over. As a number of adults are ineligible to vote (e.g., felons and non-citizens), the number of registered voters clearly exceeds the number of eligible people," writes Mr. Bronar, chairman of the University of Texas Economics Department, and Mr. Lott, a senior research scholar at the Yale University Law School.
     "These numbers cannot be explained simply by voters being left on the rolls after they have moved or died. Preliminary numbers show some precincts had 100 percent of the registered voters voting, with 99 percent of their votes going for Gore. There is no obvious explanation for how this is possible."
     The numbers also fail to add up in cities ranging from Detroit to St. Louis, the authors write, "and many races apparently turned on those results. Simply making sure that we 'count all the votes' — the mantra repeated constantly over the last month — is not the answer if those aren't real votes."

Scary, yes. Hillary's election was another milestone, marking the second failure of traditional Amercian skepticism. In its place, love of celebrity.

2000 also proved that the Electoral College remains the last firewall guarding us from rule by large, liberal population centers. And I understand liberals' white-hot frustration. The Electoral College stems from fairly nuanced reasoning (regional representation over direct democracy); the understanding of which has been so eroded as to be nonsensical, if not downright offensive, to many people.

Given the traction of the catch-all "democracy" among the volley of absurdities during the 2000 debacle, I'm not particularly hopeful.

I've thought about this too. I can't think of much more (in the way of negatives) that hasn't been thrown at GWB already. He has taken a pounding that not too many politicians could survive.

It's been interesting to watch the seeming "non interest" of GWB to go after the Clinton's crimes. The "new tone" dontcha know. Is he keeping his powder dry? If he were to have unleashed the DOJ on the Clinton's (spit) early on in the game, they would revert to their "old news, let's move on to serve the American people" tactic when 2004 rolls around. Americans have the attention span of gnats.

Another thought - I think Karl Rove is a worthy opponent to CarVILE. Interesting that Mary Matalin has taken a leave.

I live in the Phila. suburbs. Tell me about it. Do you remember on election night 2000, when Pa. Governor Tom Ridge said, "Hey, hold on a minute", when Pa was called for Gore? Pennsylvania was going for GWB, but the huge vote fraud in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh handed it to Gore. And now, we have Ed Rendell as Governor. So don't look for too much in the way of "election reform" in the big cities of Pa., or the Northeast for that matter.

I am not afraid of Hillary. Why? Because I know her too well. We are in a battle for the soul of America. Hillary represents all that wants to succeed at tearing this country to pieces. Will she succeed? Temporarily she might. But, in the long run she will not succeed. She is under the illusion that somehow the help she has recieved will stay with her. We all know that the devil abandons those who swear allegience to him with their souls, sooner or later.

She has been slowly building coalitions. In that process, she has been stepping on toes. The people who toes those are don't like it. They are, without saying anything to anyone, burning up inside with an intense dislike for her. And these are members of her own party. Hillary is like the ostrich in the Bible. She lays her eggs and without a care for them, steps on them, killing them.

She may not be gone yet, but she is a goner.

Two thoughts come into play here. Her husband promised the good people of Arkansas, if he were re-elected, he would not USE the Governor's Office as a stepping stone for the Presidency and that he would serve out his full term. He, of course, Lied.

Bill refused to resign out of fear he'd lose the election..no job left.

Then, there was the small detail of NOT resigning as soon as he was elected, because if he waited to do so, till after January lst, he would receive a larger Arkansas Gov's pension..$$$.

So we have a pattern. What will Hillary do? Will she tell the people of New York, that her Party needs her more than they do, and plead for THEIR understanding, support and votes?

Who will hold Hillary's feet to the fire, and ask her to step down, when she goes against HER promise?
