There are TWO very strong memebers of the UN security council who are directly affected by the North Korea matter. China and Russia are both permanent members of the UNSC. THEY should be taking the lead in any negotiations. We already tried unilateral agreements with NK (the Carter/Clinton agreements) and they failed. Unless Russia and China step up to the plate we should continue to ignore the NK blackmail demands. If they get out of hand and China and Russia do nothing, it won't take more then an hour to eliminate NK from the map.

South Korea added to the recent danger by their anti-American rhetoric over the past few years. Japan could have nuclear weapons in a matter of days if this continues. I have no problem with that but China might. :o)

How many of those Iranians who recieved those weapons ended up training someone that attacked US interests? THAT is wrong, and you fail, you FAIL to grasp that reality.

How often do you see an official representative of the US Admin stand next to a known Terrorist organization? Has the US ever stood in partnership with known terrorists?

Name one time a Serb ever collaberated with a terrorist organization, that was sanctioned by that persons (Serb or American citizen) own government? C'mon, please do tell.

Peacenik? What do you do to fight terrorism? What have you done? Typing on your keyboard does not count.

Sir, you are proving to nothing but an absolute waste of time.

I will remind you that this is a forum for conservatives like myself to address issues of public importance. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU OR OTHER PEOPLE OF YOUR KIND TO COME HERE AND DUMP ON US JUST BECASUE YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT WE SAY.

If you have a disagreement with what me or other freepers say you go create your own message board and air those disagreements. You don't go and dump on a message board for conservatives.

You have been presented with all the evidence on atrocities by Saddam. Obviously, you don't have an intelligent rebuttal to this so all you can resort to is childish and immature ad-hominem attacks.

I have read all the material I know what's going on. Obviosuly it's you whose mind is closed, not me.

You're more suited for DU than FR.

BTW, get or come up with an original thought/slogan--"Lets Roll".

I'd say "Let's Roll" is plenty good enough - it started as a battle cry on the passengers of hijacked flight 93, and I for one plan to stick with it.

Now your argument has another logic flaw, that of a "Red Herring."

A Red Herring is a fallacy in which an irrelevant topic is presented in order to divert attention from the original issue. The basic idea is to "win" an argument by leading attention away from the argument and to another topic. This sort of "reasoning" has the following form:

Topic A is under discussion.
Topic B is introduced under the guise of being relevant to topic A (when topic B is actually not relevant to topic A).
Topic A is abandoned.

This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because merely changing the topic of discussion hardly counts as an argument against a claim.

We, none of us, are mindreaders--something you now claim must be in place in order to trust future dealings made by our Administration. Rather, we must believe that others are pressed to a higher calling--BELIEVING others will act in the best interests of their peoples. Otherwise, there can never be any treaties made, any positions taken, because we cannot read minds or ever truly know a person's character.

Just because the Iranians FAILED to live up to past promises/expections does not mean that all future dealings with the Iranian PEOPLE should be treated AS IF they will always be dishonoest. And the transgressions of IRANIAN people does not equate to transgressions of IRAQI people; or, in the reverse, if Serbs appear to be honest, this does not mean they shall ALWAYS be honest or that they are the ONLY honest peoples.

Honestly, this was the mid-80's, can you tell me that you would trust the Iranians? Honest, what is your personal answer? To Trust that Terrorist Regime or not to Trust?

My answer is not to trust the Terrorists.

You are much too funny, ergo. You dont like to hear that the US/NATO was fully wrong on BOSNIA and Kosovo and they support the terrorist regime empowered in Pristina, Serbia.

What is your opinion on the Albanian Muslims who were put into power in Kosovo Province of Serbia or of the KLA?

Not one time have I defended Hussien, not one time did I say I do not support the US action that will take place the 3d week of March or before April. Not once have I ever stated I was a peacenik nor anti-war.

I have stated just the opposite, it must be you who feels threatened and intimidated to continiously be in denial.

How have you fought terrorism, hmmmm? Besides stroking your keyboard.

Ergo, you are wrong. Officials from this and the past administration have stood with and sided with known terrorists of this world. You want "internet" proof? Your leader has sent his emmissaries and encouraged terrorism to continue, not to stop. How often have you supported terrorism by remaining silent on Kosovo?

Im not saying that you are, just remain or are ignorant of those facts on Kosovo Albanian Muslim teams being given the green light (no pun intended) to have a free pass and collect $200, literally.

That is not to mention those Jihadians still roaming free in Bosnia under the guise of IFOR. You can thank your little leader W.Clark for that. Whom by the way, is considering a run for the Presidency.

violence must be proportional to the injury we have suffered.

1000:1 is a proportion, isn't it?

hmmm, I was thinking the same thing. My mother is constantly yelling about propaganda. EVERYTHING said, quoted or read about today's current events is propaganda, no matter the source. Somewhere in that "propaganda" is the truth.

Last night, the History Channel had a special " Why Can't We Kill Saddam? "-which was very enlightening. Saddam has been a maniacal murderer, since he was a child. They had archival footage of Saddam in action, smilingly having his political enemies dragged out of meetings and shot. The testimony of CIA agents,Iraqis who have survived his torture,Gulf War soldiers who were captured and even that of the man who designed one of the chambers, was gruesome. How any Hollywood celeb,Democrat or women's org could support this demon,in light of his unspeakable brutality towards women and children, is beyond reason. An interesting side note-Clinton had a chance to get Saddam,in 1995-the Kurds and many Iraqi generals were planning a military coup and via CIA operatives, asked Clinton for some logistical and financial support-not a military invasion.Clinton refused, after much pleading by the CIA operatives on the ground and it turned into a Bay of Pigs, when the generals starting fleeing over the border.Clinton then had the 6 CIA agents investigated and was going to have them brought up on charges of trying to overthrow Saddam.A cooler head dropped the charges and in fact, the agents received commendations. The CIA Field Officer,Bob Baer resigned and is on tv a lot,as an analyst. The rest of the team is still operating.

North Korea is only a "direct and immediate threat" because of the impending war with Iraq. Don't worry the U.S. is well equipped to handle North Korea even in the midst of dealing with Iraq.

"...four Iraqi women testifiying before Congress on the necessity of America taking Sadam out now."

Did the Pink Protestors see this? How about NOW? Or are they all thinking, "they are just Iraqi women, they don't have the right to voice an opinion"?

What I want to see are the photos of the "starving Iraqi children" that the anti-Sanctions people alway cry about. Why are there thousands of words but no photos? Frankly, I don't buy it.

Well, but if I remember your first post on this issue was that you questioned the validity of the Iraqi doctor who was there unlike you who obviously was not there.

I was against the terrorist elements who were put into power by our previuous administration. Obviously, this was done for political reasons. I don't think we should have been there because there was no National Security issue involved at the time. X42 did this to cover up his impeachable activities.

This issue is a National Security issue. As I've stated I don't like wars, but this issue is a National Security issue because Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. I know you don't want to believe that or anything about his human rights but the evidence is there, whether you want to believe it or not.

You continue to backtrack and say you're not a peacenik, but your profile page and all the postings here on thread seem to tell me otherwise. I think it's you who has the bugaboo, not me.

What I'd like for you to do is tell the thousands of iraqis who been tortured and punished for their opposition to Saddam right in their face what you have been saying here on this thread. You say you're not defending Hussien but your posts on this thread seem to indicate otherwise.
