Misleading headline. Barbecue is made in Eastern North Carolina. They're talking about burnt beef or something.

Your Texas barbecue slam aside, the headline is entirely misleading. The article is discussing Burger Kings (McDonalds comes closest to serving "barbecue" with their sauced up Chicken Nuggets and McRibb sandwich and I'm not even sure those are meat products).

There are also smokehouses in town that smoke meats for 24 hours (that is not barbecuing either).

I pin the headline on the editors/author at the Houston Chronicle, not the scientist who is looking at the small contributors to Houston's air pollution.

Eating beef is a good thing. Those cattle produce methane as they chew, we are eliminating a source of air pollution.

OK, I like the Texas stuff too. I was just poking fun. Can't believe nobody took the bait. Must be sidetracked by the war.

I agree, eating beef is a very good thing -- it pisses off PETA peckerheads.

But Fraser isn't blaming the backyard cookout for Houston's pollution problem.

"Meat cooking is more important than wood burning, but it's less important than diesel," Fraser said. "These are trace levels. They are very low concentrations."

It doesn't sound like the environmental engineer is trying to ban them or anything like that.

God, please give me my country back. I don't know how much more I can stand. I'm ready for the rapture because I know you will have BBQ at the wedding feast. After the feast we can drive our SUV's out to the shooting range where we can shoot some paper with our asault rifles. I repent of all my sins, just please, If it's your will, give me back my America.

Amen
