Pearl Jam is so twentieth century. Are they doing a 'reunion' tour? Is that what it is?

I never liked them anyway. Im listening to the Moody Blues as I type. They were much better in concert and realize they are musicians not politicians.

Another Seattle liberal who has not clue about what real life is about. Part of the leftist mob mentality. His public is the great unwashed. Vetter is a puke head punk.

I dont think Pearl Jam will suffer as much as the Blixie Chicks.
Country audiences tend to be conservative....and do not like anti-Americanism.
Rock fans...and younger rock fans..tend to be whiny Liberal. Some will turn away, but not too many.
If I remember right.....Vedder did some of the same stuff during Gulf War I.....I think during a show he took out a marker and wrote anti-war messages all over himself

"ED's political oppinion [sic] is tottally [sic] right and to all those who hadn't figured it all yet....Pearl Jam and Eddie ALWAYS talked about politics and human rights, and their music is a polittical [sic] statement of justice and freedom, u [sic] can't separate music from your vision of the world," writes one fan. Another puts it more succinctly: "ED ROCKS!!!!" This really exemplifies the "mind"set of the Pearl Jam Fan. No wonder Eddie Boy's favorite cause is abortion.

Right after we went into Afganistan, Vedder shaved his head in support for the Taliban that were taken to Gitmo because their human rights were "violated". That topic is off limits to any interviewer or they will not grant the interview. True story.

Whatever. I used to love Eddie Vedder back in college. Aren't most Pearl Jam fans busy bringing their kids to gymnastics lessons and worrying about their 401k's now days?

"We've gotten a lot of hate mail, a lot of threatening mail," Maguire told reporters in Australia. "Emily [Robison] had the front gate of her ranch smashed in. We have to have security when we get back to the States. It puts my well-being in jeopardy." This crap is so typical now. These people (celebrities aren't being threatened by the right, they are being openly disagreed with and they don't like it.
So the tactic is to claim ala Tom Daschle that your are receiving threats. This paints your detrator and any who might think like him/her out to be a wacky obsessive crack pot. Certainly someone who all should ignore.
This unfounded lie-your-way-out-of-it pattern has to be elevated and brought into the nexus.
"They are threatening me for my views, maybe you've heard of the 1st Amendment, man?"
It's just one more on the list of all time lyingest Labels you could pin to someone or some group to prop your dishonest-self up and hope to convince the stupid people your banking on to see it your way... and through defamation of character against people you don't even know. Screw That! Eddie01

"The more flak I get for it, the prouder I am," said Maines. You know, if someone proclaims their political opinion, they should expect no less of a reaction than when anyone proclaims their political beliefs. They should be prepared to defend themselves. They should expect to get verbally shot down. What happens here on this site? If you can't defend your position, then don't post your opinion. If Natalie and the whole contingent of mouthy famous people can't take negative feedback, they should just shut the heck up.
When these celebs open their mouths they are suddenly being forced to defend a position that is chuck full of holes. And it proves that there is nothing in their brains. If they were running for political office, their opponent would mop their faces in the dirt with their apalling lack of expertise.
So what if they have a platform and a recognizable face? Most celebs have no business saying anything because they know nothing. Unless they can say something substantial they are doing nothing more than abusing their celebrity status.

Is Pearl Jam the next Dixie Chicks? The Dixie Chicks were still a relevant group when they blew it. Pearl Jam couldn't be "the next Dixie Chicks" if they turned the entire rest of their tour into one giant DNC Crusade.
