Well, he's in the heavenly rock'n'roll band now with Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix and Paul McCartney!

That's my favorite number (Make 'Em Laugh) in that whole movie. Absolutely brilliant.

Over a dozen celebrities have died since President Bush declared victory in Iraq. Where's the outrage? Our economy cannot afford to lose anymore middle class celebrity workers. It is time that the top 1% of wage earners started dying in their place.

If you don't know who he is, watch for Singing in the Rain to air on Turner Classic Movies soon. Whenever one of the classic film stars passes on, TCM shows the movies for which they were famous. Unfortunately lately, there have been quite a few of those sad, special showings.

...Just singin' in the rain... :(

When is this going to end? When the Republicans achieve a majorioty in the House of Representatives, in the Senate ,and in states' governorships, that's when!
Absolutely correct. Lots and lots of good stuff will happen when Republicans take over. All we have to do is let them steal our money and take power over our lives, and all will be well.
They promise.

FWIW - I was being facetious - I'm not a liberal you know ;-)
I was trying to find a little humor in a great loss. You must not be accustomed to my sarcasm and my sometimes feeble attempt at humor. If you read on - I set up a few other weak attempts at trying to lighten the mood.

A funny comic actor, energetic, and a great dancer. Always struck me as a classy guy. I'll miss him.

You're confusing Fred Astair dancing on the ceiling with Donnal O'Conner's wall jump/dance.
Donald O'Conner really did run up the wall in that scene, no trick photography!
