You know when God seems to have left the picture I guess. Did He leave the picture when Catholics were mowing down Jews as well as Muslins during the crusades? Or when Spain told the Jews to leave? Or when 1,900 years of supercessionist attitudes such as your cumulativley led to the destruction of 6,000,000? I think so.

The history of the people who now call themselves Jews got rather boring 1900 years ago and didn't heat up again until the last Century. G-d seemed to have left the picture. OTOH, if you graft the history of the Christian Church onto that of the Jews, it's a 4,000 year story that's still being written.

There are people who have called themselves Jews starting at the time of Ezra. Sorry to inform you. The history of people who are Jewish may have been boring to you but not to them. People with supercessionist attitudes such as yours made boredom an impossibility. God seemed to have left your fellow Catholics while they were mowing down Jews along with Muslins back in the time of the crusades. God seemed to have left your people when all but a mere handful were silent (incuding Pius) when 6,000,000 were slaughtered. God seemed to have left characters in what you claim to be a "rich" history when Sabbath keeping was proclaimed to be a civic crime at the counsel of Laodicia. So don't be so swift in your judgement of Jews when you don't have all your facts straight.

I have read many accounts of the Gospels' veracity, so-called contradictions etc. by historians. The problem I have w/ any "authoritative" statement by these people is that there opinions are just that; their opinions. Often colored by pre-existing bias.

Here we have Gospel "forensics". Please.

I have far more faith in the Gospels veracity than I do in 21st century experts trying to reconstruct history based on the frequency of a particular past participle used in a text and how this proves/disproves his pet theory.

Please. The entire NT is colored by pre-existing bias.

Since I find the NT uninspired, frequency of a particular past participle is of no concern to me.

What was so bad that the people of Israel were exiled for 1878 years after occupying the land for less than 1100? I don't judge any Jew or the Jewish People, but I know that Jews believe that their Covenant binds God to make manifest His just and loving paternal Judgement upon them. This horrible length of exile is another historical sign pointing to the truth of Christ's claims.

I don't have time to respond to your book. Just know that there are numberous prophecy's in Hebrew writings that have the Jews back in their land at the end of days. These prophecies weren't given to the Gentiles. Your supercession is smoke and mirrors. The promises were to Israel. I know plenty of Israelites, and you're not one of them.
