'Birth pains' have begun (End Days Alert) [Open]

The world has endured an almost mind-numbing series of shocks in recent weeks, from the unprecedented swarm of tornadoes across the American Midwest to the death and destruction wrought by Cyclone Nargis as it tore a path through Myanmar, better known as Burma.

There were 368 documented tornadoes in the U.S. in January and February of this year, shattering the previous record of 243 over that two-month period, set in 1999. February's total of 232 tornadoes also shattered previous records.

Cyclone Nargis ripped Burma apart, killing at least 128,000, according to Red Cross estimates, and creating some 2.5 million refugees.

Al Gore was quick to blame global warming. In an interview on NPR to plug his appropriately named book on global warming, "Assault on Reason," he told host Terry Gross: "And as we're talking today, Terry, the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated. . … And last year a catastrophic storm last fall hit Bangladesh. The year before, the strongest cyclone in more than 50 years hit China – and we're seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming."

Maybe. But Germany's Institute of Marine Scientists says we're in for a 10-year period of global cooling. There sure seems to be a lot of opposition to what is supposed to be "settled science."

Global warming can't explain away the devastating earthquake that all but flattened a huge portion of western China. The death toll from Monday's quake is approaching 20,000, with twice that number still listed as missing. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Monday's earthquake was the 25th "significant" earthquake registered so far this year.

Hasn’t the world ended yet? It’s been like 20 years.

The Divine Mercy is one of the most beautiful devotions around. I have the diary of St. Faustina.

Me too! What a treasure!

When it was time to take our older students on retreat this year, Father and I took them to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy. The shrine's rector gave us a personal tour of the shrine. Afterwards, our priest celebrated Mass for us and anyone who was visiting the shrine at that time. I treasure the pictures of him elevating the host with that beautiful image of the Divne Mercy behind him. Even the youth enjoyed the day and have asked us to take them back there again.

If you love the message of the Divine Mercy, you should consider visiting the Shrine. There is a small guest house on the property where you can stay for a small fee. The rector told us about a women who comes each year from the Phillipines, to spend one week at the guest house and celebrate daily mass and devotions.

I will take the bible over both Hal Lindsay and Nostradamus.

It says we should “Watch.”

It says there are signs.

It’s too easy to be a crackpot. It’s too easy to be wrong. On the other hand, it’s too easy to pick on anyone who tries to deal seriously with Jesus’ orders.

Sum: Know the signs and watch. You are responsible for you and yours.

I been to it, the Divine Mercy Shrine twice in my life, up in Stockbridge MA, and want to go back again. Best to go on a day when it is quiet, since the canionization St. Faustina, the feast day itself has become very busy. One of the two times was when before it was made a perminant feast in the Church, back in the early 90’s, I did go to the shrine for the first time and back then it was crowded. Did hear from the person, I believe a woman who because of her healing was the last miracle that made St. Faustina a saint. Pope John Paul II before he became Pope did investagate the dirary and one picture in the book shows him as a cardinal signing on to start the promoting of the devotion and as Pope it was one of the devotions he promoted. Not suprising that he passed on the eve to the feast itself. He will go down as the Pope of Divine Mercy.

My end is my end. If I go out all alone or with the rest of mankind I still have to be ready to meet my maker.

I do believe that spirit-filled Christians who are listening to God WILL know. He, as far as I know, always told his people of trouble approaching.

I do believe that end times prophecy lines up with Jewish feasts.

Thanks for that interesting post. In church we were studying the Passover and other Jewish holidays that have Christian events happening on them as well. Of course this was from the viewpoint that Christianity is an extension or fullfillment of the Jewish faith. It was taught by a Messianic Jew and I found it to be very informative - as is your post. (I didn’t have the guts to ask him if The Yom Kippur (sp?) War was one of those events!)

I think God is telling us of grave times ahead. What more do we need to see that this is so?

I would agree with you.

Just bought a DVD series about the Feasts and the bonus disk. I had already studied the Feasts years ago and ABSOLOUTLY believe they are the "dress rehearsals" for the Biblical events that point to Jesus. we have had the Spring and Summer Festivals and are awaiting the Fall Festivals.

On the Bonus disk, the Messianic Jew teacher did an astronomical study on Sun and Moon eclipses and found that the first Sun and Moon eclipse that falls in the same year over Jerusalem will be in 2015. The verses he used to find the eclipse references were speaking of the end times. What he believes is 2015 minus 7( for the Tribulation period) equals 2008. So he believes that THIS Feast of Trumpets will be the Rapture! For those reading this without study of the Feasts, a Jew knows the "day no one knows" is Trumpets. Just like we know "turkey day" would be Thanksgiving.

His purpose in making the prediction is to talk of the "foolish virgins and the unwise servants. These people aren't "lost" people but lukewarm pew warmers. You could be left behind and have to endure the Anti-Christ and the Tribulation. After the Church is Raptured, the only way to Christ is martyrdom for the ones left behind. Can you imagine knowing what the Scripture says and knowing the Bride is gone to the Bridegroom, and you are still here?

This guy went through hundreds of Scriptures that all point to the Return of Christ and if his Solar and Lunar eclipse predictions are right( he got them from NASA), it is SOON, VERY SOON!

The Feast of Tabernacles represents the judgment of the Nations, not individuals. If we turn from God and His people( Israel), the judgment on America will be just as bad as if we were Saudi Arabia. If we get Obama, do you think we will stand by Israel? Have we already turned from God and His Laws?

I want to be on the train outa here.

"Many folks are so into his type of thinking, one reason they (as so called conservatives)are voting for Obama to fulfil the endtimes."

WHAT???? I can't imagine anybody who listens to Lindsey voting for Obama. Lindsey is a social conservative. His listeners are more likely to vote for Republicans.
