** He is a coward!!! He remained silent about Catholics voting for Barry, he remained silent about Barry at Notre Dame.**

Huh?

I think you need to peruse Zenit.org and find out what courage Pope Benedict really has.

And besides that — God will be the judge, not you!

I believe this Pope will be considered a Doctor of the Church in the future. Very well educated and excellent theologian and writer.

The media (lamestream) does not want to hear the truth. I pray for them, for at the moment of their death, they will realize their many mistakes.

Until then, I guess they waddle in the swamps of disbelief or ignorance.

I'm afraid not. His leanings on universal salvation are wishy washy at best. Sorry to disappoint you. JPII would fail the test as a student of Aquinas.

My apology, I thought you were refering to JPII.

You are right. I have high regards for this Pope, Benedict XVI.

I am not a Catholic basher btw, but he is a politician!

The Pope is no more the head of the Christian Church than I am.

***as A Christian I could care less what the Pope says.***

You hide it well.

***He is a coward!!! ***

Well, you’d be too, if you were now top dog of the entire Latin Church, head of State of the Vatican, teaching morality to an immoral world, bringing Christian faith to the heretic, the apostate and the pagan. With you, bro.

***He remained silent about Catholics voting for Barry, he remained silent about Barry at Notre Dame.***

Well, after all, he has a billion and a half people to look after directly, another 4 and a half to watch out for, but I see your point. Anything that you find important, he should find as important as well. Next time I see him, I’ll let him know and tell him to give you a call.

***Has the Pope invited Jesus in to his life?? I hope so!!!***

I doubt it. He is, after all, the great fundamentalist Whore of Babylon, putting 666’s on all the Catholic foreheads on Ash Wednesday. And we baptize babies, too. Tsk, tsk. No, the Pope, the direct in-line successor of the office of the Steward of Jesus Christ going back to Peter would probably have nothing to do with Jesus. Good point.

***This pope’s patristic teaching is nothing short of extraordinary. What a blessing it is for all of us to be living at a time when, for the first time in nearly 700 years, a true Father has arisen in The Church!***

Our catechisis is a little lacking in the patristic teachings. It is so remarkable to hear it from BXVI so clearly and so true. These are great times.

You laugh but do not understand? Unless a person finds themselves in a Evangelical Catholic Church, they may be attending a dead Church.

Many Catholic Priests have never really come to Christ, and if they have not come to Christ, they surely can not lead others to Christ.

You have your Spirit filled Catholics and you have the rest.

God Bless all the Catholic Churches!!

You will find the same deal in all the main line Churches. You will find it difficult to find a dead evangelical Church.

***I am not a Catholic basher btw***

I can see where people would make that mistake.

***The Pope is no more the head of the Christian Church than I am.***

Whom do you believe that the Steward of the Church is? Gordon Hinckley? Billy Graham? The Archbishop of Canterbury? Rev. Sung Myung Moon? Tom Cruise? The rubbie living in the refrigerator carton around the corner from your place?

I look beyond my navel. The streets and malls are littered with them. The Gospel is warped and twisted or ignored completely in most of the ones that I have attended. The Sacraments have been abandoned. There is no adherence to the Nicene Creed - the fundamental yardstick of Christianity. Most of the evangelicals look at the Father as the stern overlord of the Universe, at Jesus as His nice Son who was sent by the Father to redeem us, and the Holy Spirit as the messenger boy sent by the Father.

Virgin birth? Optional. Mary and Joseph had many children? Usual. The whole Da Vinci scam derived from the evangelicals thinking that the Vatican was hiding the secret that Jesus actually married Mary Magdalene and had children that these descendents are the now crowned heads of Europe. The Holy Grail is a part of this whole rather neat tale, now. Mary was a Gnostic, doncha know and Jesus respected her right to choose, so after her third child with Jesus she went to southern France.

This is why the Vatican moved to France for some years, so that they could cover up the whole Mary Magdalene story and make Jesus seem as if he did not have any children.

Any of this sound familiar? Or are these evangelicals moving in different circles from yours?

Are you in a dead Catholic Church? Or are you in a Spirit filled Evangelical Catholic Church?

Is there a outcome from the service? Is there a alter call? Ask your Priest in private if there is such a thing as a “pro choice Christian”?

If your particular Catholic Church believes that Catholics are the only true Christian`s? That`s a give away that its a dead Church.

if you were now top dog of the entire Latin Church

Correction - head of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Although it is not widely known in our Western world, the Catholic Church is actually a communion of Churches. According to the Constitution on the Church of the Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium, the Catholic Church is understood to be "a corporate body of Churches," united with the Pope of Rome, who serves as the guardian of unity (LG, no. 23). At present there are 22 Churches that comprise the Catholic Church. The new Code of Canon Law, promulgated by Pope John Paul II, uses the phrase "autonomous ritual Churches" to describe these various Churches (canon 112). Each Church has its own hierarchy, spirituality, and theological perspective. Because of the particularities of history, there is only one Western Catholic Church, while there are 21 Eastern Catholic Churches. The Western Church, known officially as the Latin Church, is the largest of the Catholic Churches. It is immediately subject to the Roman Pontiff as Patriarch of the West. The Eastern Catholic Churches are each led by a Patriarch, Major Archbishop, or Metropolitan, who governs their Church together with a synod of bishops. Through the Congregation for Oriental Churches, the Roman Pontiff works to assure the health and well-being of the Eastern Catholic Churches.

***Is there a outcome from the service? Is there a alter call?***

There is no Scriptural or patristic proofs or defence of altar calls. It began in the early 1800s with Charles Finney and has evolved with the evangelical churches especially the Prosperity churches into a simple pressured emotional gratification. People get up, wave hands, scream, shout, faint, bark, and even see visions.

Nope, not Scriptural, not patristic, not even Christian.

Jesus had no wife! Mary was a virgin! Anybody who doubts that has not received Christ, simple as that!

Evangelical Catholics that I know, simply believe that to be a Christian you must invite Jesus in to your heart/life, thank him for dying on the cross for their sins and invite him in. As hard is at may seem to understand for some, many Catholics have never been taught this simple fact!

Are you saved? That`s a good question to ask your Priest, if he laughs there`s your answer right there.

Honey, Our Lord doesn’t live by your rules.

All of your questions are silly and gratuitous in the eyes of The Lord.

All that happy “feel good” stuff that you do in front of other men, makes you feel wonderful. However, you OPINION of what the Lord wants is just that, your opinion.

The Pope nor myself feel a need to “proclaim” anything to other men. No need, my FRiend.

A alter call is just challenging a person to invite Christ in to their life, you can call it whatever you like.

Are you suggesting it`s not Scriptural to invite Jesus in to your live?

Jesus said I stand at the door and knock, anybody that opens the door, I will come in.

Unless a person finds themselves in a Evangelical Catholic Church, they may be attending a dead Church.

Nonsense! Where did you get this idea?

Many Catholic Priests have never really come to Christ, and if they have not come to Christ, they surely can not lead others to Christ.

All Catholic priests have been baptized. Baptism is the sacrament that gives our souls the new life of sanctifying grace by which we become children of God and heirs of heaven. ref: John 3:5

***Jesus had no wife! Mary was a virgin! Anybody who doubts that has not received Christ, simple as that!***

It came out of the evangelical movement, all of it.

***Evangelical Catholics that I know, simply believe that to be a Christian you must invite Jesus in to your heart/life, thank him for dying on the cross for their sins and invite him in.***

Jesus offers His saving Grace to all; it is up to us to accept Him, so in a way we are kinda saying the same thing here.

***As hard is at may seem to understand for some, many Catholics have never been taught this simple fact!***

All catechized Catholics understand that one must accept God. But not in the hokey showman way of such abhorrent practices as the altar call. It is the quiet acceptance in one’s heart of Jesus into the contrite heart and the fervent prayer that God will save me, a sinner. It is not a one time event; it is a process in one must persevere for their entire life.

***Are you saved? That`s a good question to ask your Priest***

How would my padre know if I am saved? That is for Jesus the Judge, and not any man.
