Nov. 1, 2009 | Travis McGee

Posted on 11/01/2009 4:49:02 PM PST by Travis McGee

Yesterday, a squad of Navy SEALs engaged in combat operations in Afghanstan had several men badly wounded by RPG explosions. Freeper "Wardaddy" is related to one of them. Navy SEAL Bryan Stuart is Wardaddy's close cousin's son. He has been medevaced to Germany for surgery. Other details are sketchy as of yet.

I surely repeat the prayer to St Michael for our injured heroes! As of June, I will have two grandsons serving our country ... as Dominic, who lives here with his Mom and I (brother of Charlie, of whom I was guardian, and who is in the Navy) will be with the Marines.

This is the latest from my dear uncle yesterday in Mississippi (thanks to all of you for your paryers, God bless):

Doug, thank you so much for sharing this. Bryan continues to be healed daily and is making remarkable progress. Before he arrived in Bethesda, the Dr's had already concluded that he would not be capable of speaking and possibly even understanding what was being said. God has miraculously intervened in answer to our prayers. The Dr's are amazed at how well he is doing to the point where they are planning to discharge him next week as an "outpatient" for rehab/therapy. They have never done that before to anyone with injuries like his (instead they transfer as "inpatient" for prolonged hospital stay. Bryan is talking, joking and laughing with us and dr's and he has been up out of bed getting around the floor on his own and we are giving him wheelchair spins around the hospital. He still needs surgery for his orbital bone repair under left eye which is scheduled for wed. Fragments in his brain appear to be immobile but still waiting on final word from neurosurgeons. Overall he is a walking-talking miracle....a testimony to the power of prayer and healing from God Almighty. We are awed and humbled. Regards, Rob [Sent from Blackberry]

I think that was great news, as I was reading my monitor got all blurry...

God is great, indeed!! Continued prayers for Bryan and all of our men and women who are recovering from injuries, may He grant them complete restoration. May God also provide a shield of protection over all of our men and women in harm’s way, that they may return to their families unharmed and as victors.
