I have a prayer request for you and all my fellow Freepers. My wife’s sister was just diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer and she is going to have surgery on Tuesday. My wife and I are her caregivers. Thank you and God Bless. Her name is Teresa.

She has my prayers. If it's any consolation, my niece (age 49 at the time) had stage 4 and underwent emergency surgery in Jan. of 09 which also required the removal of her spleen and part of her intestine............

As of today, she is doing very, very well...............where there is life, there is hope. Praise the Lord!

We share in the responsibility of caring for a Stage 4 person ~ with a colestomy bag ~ and with the use of a very specific anti-cancer drug called Avastin it's being pushed back.

Two years ago this drug was generally advised ONLY for breast cancer and not ovarian ~ yet, it works with ovarian and is being withdrawn from use with breast.

10 years ago none of this was possible.

May everyone receive God's strength in this test.
