While the constitution allows for complete freedom of religion for all inhabitants of the imperial domains, not all religions are equal in the eyes of the state. Subjects are those people who do not belong to Recognized Churches; they are divided into those with religion (Moral Theists) and those without it (Heathens), both groups are free to practice their belief systems in privacy and without interference from imperial authorities. Moral Theists may vote for and hold the office of Tribune of Subjects, an officer who represents them in the Senate. Both Moral Theists and Heathens are barred from all other elections and elected offices, the military officer corps, teaching positions at government schools and the practice of law.
Those Without Religion (Heathens)
Citizens are those people who belong to Recognized Churches; the constitution recognizes two classes of citizens: plebeians and patricians. Though all inhabitants of the imperial domains stand equal before the law, the extent to which one can participate in political life is determined partly by ones social standing. Citizens, however, possess rights that Subjects do not: these include the freedom of assembly, the right to imperial petition, freedom of the press and freedom of speech. Children born to Citizen Families attain citizenship with a proclamation of faith and featly on their 18th birthday in the presence of the County Magistrate; those who decline to make this statement are demoted to Heathen Status.
....Only state-recognized churches receive tax-free status; by requiring 10 million members for this I hope to force the myriad of independent Protestant churches to combine into larger organizations with a more strict emphasis on doctrinal orthodoxy. Catholics of course get preeminent status in the government. As you can see, people may lose their citizen status or office should they be found guilty of manifest public sin.
Recognized Churches: NO THANKS. It is doubtly the early Church under Rome (the Empire, nor Chicom today-and many others) hold such beliefs!

Allow me to let you in on a little secret, Alex: there’s no shortage of goofballs on the Internet, and finding the ravings of a goofball and posting them isn’t really much of an achievement.
please can you remove this?
Yeah Alex, I know. It really sucks to be...What class do you fall into? Heathen is it?
Agreed! This is just goofy.
The only way this thread could get Christians to fight each other would be if someone on the thread was supportive of Catholic Monarchism. Would that be you, Cronos?
The rumours of the supercomputer underneath the Vatican with all the Protestant names and locations makes so more sense now.
Freegards, You may call me “Duke Ransomed”, my heathen serfs
It is not an ecumenical thread so antagonism is allowed.
“...makes so more sense now.”
Yeesh.
Freegards
Stopped by to join the ignore caucus.
Thanks Cronos
One can certainly find magisterial documents of various weight and importance showing a preference for monarchies with an established Catholic Church, but those should also be balanced by the following magisterial document of the Vatican II Ecumenical Council, the “Declaration on Religious Liberty”:
I do not know of any Catholic Monarchists on this forum - political conservatism (emphasis on individual liberty) and monarchism do not mix well.
Suffice it to say that those who are deeply invested in the idea of the ascendancy of global democracy or the superiority of republican government or the collapse of the Church will not like this book. ;-)
I'm not saying I'm for monarchy in any form, its just that 2000 years of solid Catholic prophecy foretells a return to monarchy, not the ascendancy of republican or democratic governmental systems.
That might be what is behind a lot of these kooky "Catholic monarchy" websites.
You yourself have said in the past that one cannot add on inflammatory comments to article TITLEs or distort TITLES, and have deleted them. As an impartial RM, I'm sure you would enforce the same rules you have applied before.
FYI, its called a constitutional monarchy.
