Today we are here to entrust our United States military men and women to You. With faith born of Your Word and the experience we all have with Your faithfulness, we ask You for each life. Keep their physical bodies protected, keep the Spirits of Your children among them protected, keep their souls at peace and send Your Word and Your Spirit to the unbelievers so that they can be translated into Your Kingdom. May they all be soldiers for You!
We ask You for wisdom and skill for all those in leadership positions in our military from the squad leaders to the Commander in Chief. We want Your plans, God, for they never fail. Anoint each one to make the correct decisions outside of their own understanding, if necessary.
We believers here today (or whenever this prayer is prayed) stand in agreement in asking for our United States of America as a Nation that is a praise unto You--dedicated and thankful to You for the sure foundation on which we were established. Sir, give us leaders who are united around Your righteousness and the purity of our Constitution as it was written. Grant success to those who are, even now, working toward that cause. We pray for our enemies among us that their hearts and purposes would be changed by Your love and grace.
“Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the LORD, have created it."
We bless and thank You today in the name of Jesus. Amen.
God bless you today for taking your place in the body by interceding for our military and our Nation.

Scientists have been looking for the “Theory of Everything.” One person who thinks he found it is physicist Brian Greene, who wrote The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory. Greene’s “string theory” is a complicated concept suggesting that at its tiniest level everything consists of combinations of vibrating strands, or strings. He has described his theory as “a framework with the capacity to explain every fundamental feature upon which the world is constructed.”
Over the years, thinkers from Newton to Einstein to Hawking to Greene have spent the greater portion of their lives trying to figure out how the universe works—and they have proposed fascinating theories.
In reality, for any theory to explain everything in the universe adequately it must begin and end with God. “All things . . . visible and invisible” (Col. 1:16) have their origin in Him and exist for His glory (Ps. 72:19). The first few verses of John’s gospel tell us that our Lord created the universe—and that without His hand of creation nothing would exist.
That’s why when we consider the world and everything in it, we can exclaim with Isaiah: “The whole earth is full of His glory!” (6:3). Praise His holy name!
