Lord, You are the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords. You alone have immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to You be honor and everlasting power. Amen. (1 Tim. 6)

Because You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, because the Government is on Your shoulders, we bring the United States of America and every one of the military men and women You have given to us to Your throne room again today. We come honoring You, recognizing Your authority and trusting Your faithfulness.

We want our military men and women to have the honor they deserve. We are disgusted to learn that the finances of this Nation and the medical care they deserve are being stolen from them. Render therefore to all their due:… fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. (Romans 13:7) The decisions that are being made to provide opulence for those who were elected to be our servants and cheating the ones who truly put their lives on the line are unacceptable in Your eyes. Let this injustice stop, Sir! Give us an ability to judge rightly! Expose us to Your light so that darkness and evil will flee. Sir, let Your Word have free course among us and heal us.

We place the cares we have for our Nation and for the safety of our military at Your feet. You alone can make things right.

Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers, seeing through ungodly frustration and forgiving our unbelief. We do love You and pray in the name of Your Son, most High. Amen.

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.



AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them.
