Poor you! The last refuge of the hurt evangelical - calling in the religious mods who have no time to investigate who is wrong and who is right. Boo hoo.

My theory is...ignore them. Satan is the master of division.

Exactly. As my dear late mother always reminded me, “Sticks and stones...etc.”

Oh Ann. You just don’t have a sense of humor! ;-)

Actually, I agree with you. When I think of the strong popes loyal to the One True Faith, I think of men who wouldn’t be caught dead giving a “high five”...especially to a Protestant heretic.

" I think of men who wouldn’t be caught dead giving a “high five”...especially to a Protestant heretic."

I'm surprised you're willing to soil yourself by posting on a site with Protestants. Should you even be speaking to us? I mean, the unseemliness of it! /S

That's okay, though, Pius. Really. I know you're a brother in Christ, even if you don't think so.

RE: Let’s just say the pope doesn’t read the vile comments on the Catholic Church that appear on FR. I was an innocent about evangelicals about a year ago...no longer.

Just wondering, how do you know that any rude comments about the popes were posted by Evangelicals?

I’m sure he would be thrilled to see what his FR minions say about Protestants on this site.

Actually, according to Traditional Catholic teaching, Protestants are separated brethren, but still heretics.

i question the choices to meet with these “money cometh!” prosperity gospel “preachers”.

i suppose he might figure the light on doctrine crowds are’easier to bring over’to the rcc than those that are rooted deply in biblical theology.

Am I, as a Protestant, considered to be following a false religion?

“”Actually, according to Traditional Catholic teaching, Protestants are separated brethren, but still heretics.”

Don’t forget that not all holders of heresy are fully blameworthy because they know no better.

“Am I, as a Protestant, considered to be following a false religion?”

If it is Protestant, it was started by a man and not by Christ. It is by definition false. It may hold to some truth, but it also embraces and teaches error.

Thanks, vladmir. That confirms what Pius told me recently.

No hard feelings, brother. :)

same thing my Orthodox friends say about the Romans...

...and relax, I don’t have a dog in this fight. I’m a severely lapsed Anglican, who’s just tired of the internecine bullcrap Christians seem capable of throwing at each other...

Good luck. I notice your Bishop of Rome has brought the Vatican Bank into the 21st century using some semblance of accounting standards...that’s actually going to give you more problems than a bunch of narcissistic, telegenic nutters obsessed with popular culture expressions of “unity”.

Well, there’s the crowd that swears up and down that the Roman Catholic church is the Whore of Babylon.

And there’s another crowd that swears up and down that it is one and the same with the Perfect Bride of Christ, and that anyone with a lower view of it is on the express bus to hell.

My take on it? Both of these crowds partake of blasphemy. They are trying to define the church in terms of enemies, of which of CO-OURSE they are conveniently not.

None at all. If you’re baptized, we have the same Father whom we can call on as Abba!

He might have more classily met with someone like Franklin Graham.

I am baptized, yes. And you're right. What a blessed reason to rejoice.
