That is just your problem, “Figuring it out.”

That is of man.

When a Christian is unmistakably encountered by Christ, his whole perspective changes.

Hey the “men you trust” have “figured it out” for you.

You haven’t encountered Christ if you can not see the clay feet of the rest as well as your own.

God has shown me the One True Faith in the Traditional teachings of the Holy Catholic Church. Your false accusations just bounce off of me.

I agree with your basic premise and I know where you are coming from. But what you bring up is an interesting puzzle especially when looking at people of scripture as well as great Christians of history and how they approached things. This includes are Lord Jesus. At times our Lord was very gentle in His approach to others. At other times He was very critical. And, what is interesting, when you thought that He would give a gentle answer He would be very stern and visa versa.

I’m not sure if a “one sizes fits all” really works. I suspect that different approaches are what God uses to further His kingdom. This is very important when one thinks about how we approach witnessing and discussing the gospel with others. Some are more quiet and subdue while other are more aggressive. Some don’t have the foggiest idea of what they’re talking about while others are more thoughtful. In the end it doesn’t matter. We can trust the seeds of grace will always sprout whatever manure we place on top of them. :O)

In the end God gets His message out as He so promise, no matter how bad we may think we mess it up.

“Objectively they are heretics. Therefore, using the word is certainly valid and in no need for correction.”

That can be argued since they have not been corrected by their (our) bishop. They are in error. They are not be obdurate after correction - which is a requirement to be a formal heretic.

“And you have put the cart of the church before the horse of Christ.”

No, actually I did no such thing.

Believers are Christ-made one by one... The most genuinely pious of any Christian faith community scarcely bother themselves with these questions...

Two statements of yours that I agree with and have observed to be true.

To: All

I see my comment to pastor books was removed and that does not surprise me. I made the comment in response to the “most priests like boys” comment that he made which of course was not removed.

Saying most priests like boys is no different than saying most protestants belong to westboro baptist church or most white males are serial killers.

I don’t believe any of those things, I was just trying to make a point.

I guess since I’m Catholic though I have to tread lightly.

I don’t know if it was before or after my last past but I see his comments were removed as well and I am appreciative of that.
