Pope: Kids Crossing US Border Illegally Should Be ‘Welcomed’
The Boston Globe ^ | July 15, 2014 | Shannon McMahon

In a Monday letter to a Mexico City Vatican conference, Pope Francis wrote that the tens of thousands of Central American children illegally crossing into the United States should be “welcomed and protected.”

Just days after President Obama visited Texas and pledged a solution to the US border crisis, the Pope said migrant children’s human rights are being violated.

“Many people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically,” he said. “Many of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes.” The Pope also advocated that nations advocate development in the Central American countries people are fleeing....

It's our humane duty to welcome the victims and our duty to fix the problem causing the mass emigration from corrupt, crime-ridden countries. A modest proposal.

For every child we take in we drop one bomb on criminal and corrupt ruling class targets in the child's home country.

Special consideration for Mexicorruption. Arturo Sarukhan, a top official in Mexico[rruption]'s foreign ministry [among other Mexicorruption ruling class], said [vis-a-vis their anti-US tactics]:"How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."

We squash the corrupt ruling class.

Plane loads? Ship loads. How many “refugees” do you think we can stuff into an amphibious warfare ship or a leased cruise liner?

The Pope delivered this homily in Calabria, Italy a place which is the target of African "refugees" who attempt to infiltrate into the Italian peninsula. Italy is not known for its benevolence in the reception it accords these Mediterranean boat people.

Perhaps the Holy Father should bring his sights down to his own backyard and welcome those refugees into his many church facilities before he lectures others across different seas and on a different continent.

So the next time you have occasion to discuss immigration with your typical liberal, start out the conversation with this question: "Do you think America is exceptional?"

They will inevitably reply in the negative... they'll say that the US is no better than, and in many ways worse than, most of the nations of the first world.

Then follow up with another question: "So do you believe, then, that the US should handle its borders like most other nations handle theirs?"

If they've a glimmer of intelligence, this question will leave them gawping and stammering, because they know what will happen if you try to walk over the border into Mexico and start demanding all the perks of citizenship (i.e., you'll get arrested and deported muy pronto).

With others, you'll have to explain it to them.

Many of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes.

I think the Catholic church has a false Pope.

Do they have a right to handouts?

Do they have a right to trespass on another's property?

Do they have a right to break the laws of the United States?

Are they obliged to separate from their families?

Is it racist or xenophobic to oppose an illegal, unwanted invasion?

All these children should be flown to the Papal palace in the Vatican today.

Sadly, most FReepers’ responses prove that the WH sponsored foreign invasion was intended to drive us all nuts and it’s working.

(I posted this on an earlier thread)

This fiasco was a diabolical, pre-planned strategy..... start with thousands of innocent children to test and tear apart the citizens of the US.

Knowing his most ardent critics are supportive of the right to life and each child is a gift. Who among us would want to raise them in drug cartels and street gangs? His other critics - proponents of secure borders and the law.

So then, how do we stop this abomination without further torturing these children and save our Nation from this pre-planned, coordinated foreign invasion?

Congress should demand: What is our Foreign policy with respect to these nations that have abandoned their smallest, most helpless citizens?? Who is doing what in the State Department?? What are our ambassadors doing?? Abrogation of duty!!!!!

I’m a Catholic and I am appalled at the Pope’s comments.

And I’m tired of all of the apologists.

You could also ask the liberal “If America is such a horrible place what kind of monster would want to bring children from other countries here?”

I'll post again what I posted about a week ago. Load up some planes and take them straight to Vatican City. Let's see what kind of welcome they get there. It's easy for the pope to say send we should welcome them when he much like out POTUS lives in an isolated bubble where the diseases they are bringing have little likelihood of reaching along with the other realties it seems a number of gang members are in amongst the village.

I've seen enough gold in some European Cathedrals to feed millions for a quite spell as well as the real-estate it sits on. Is pope going to sell that? No? Why not? Oh that's right Americans are rich. /sarcasm It seems some popes are closet socialist. Redistribute others wealth but theirs is sacred.

um, excuse me Pope dude. Latinos are ‘white hispanics,’ our newspapers and politicians told us so, so perhaps you can see it’s quite a reach calling Americans ‘racist’ for protesting an invasion of white people. Nice effort, tho.
