the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. That brings chills

You're apparently incapable of reading for comprehension. What did I
purposefully point out? People who did it, or the management that covered it up?
Then, as a follow-up, ask yourself a simple morals question: is the person who covers up a crime any less culpable of the crime than those who physically commit a crime?
As a final question, answer this: where is "Cardinal" Bernard Law these days?

These things by definition CANNOT be of the "Body of Christ". I can't say that this isn't a deep mystery.
On the one hand, Jesus identifies Himself with His Church. Jesus said to Paul, "Why do you persecute Me?" He didn't say, "why do you persecute Christians?," or "my followers," or "my Church."
On the other hand, Jesus Himself chose Judas to be a bishop in His Church (Acts 1:20 KJV "Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take."), knowing that Judas would deny Him.
So while Jesus identifies His Church as His Body, He doesn't suggest that clergy will be impeccable.
Catholics call the Church, "Holy," by virtue of Its Head, Jesus. This holiness is manifested in the great saints, like Mother Theresa, and in history, with the Church's great cultural achievements, like the creation of the university and the hospital. But there is no denying that weeds grow up with the wheat.

The seven hills are on the other side of the Tiber. That area does not include the Vatican.

Where did you live that this was practiced? The United States. Where have you been? You haven't been seeing the Church advocate for redistributive policies?!? (Not to mention gun grabbing...)
You are indeed blind in your loyalty to an organization.

I’m sorry that you believe the lamestream media. It is not true.
But then, do you believe in the Beatitudes.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
“Love God and Love your Neighbor”
Sorry if you don’t believe these.

Here's the link about what Catholics lead against abortion: The Beginning of the End of Abortion -- 40 Days for Life, September 24 -- November 2
Yes, many GOOD people are involved with '40 Days for Life'.
Now, what is the reality when it comes to Catholic management?
- Do any dioceses actively catechize their flock on the evil sinful nature of abortion?
- Was Cardinal Burke - one of the strongest voices for the Culture of Life - just not silenced from being a voice in the Magisterium and moved to isolation in Malta?
- Is it not true that the freshly appointed Bishop to Chicago (Blasé Cupich) tried to ban, and eventually discouraged, priests and other church employees from taking PART in "40 Days for Life"?!?
- Did not the vile Cardinal Dolan, recent former head of the USCCB, give a "shout-out" to the vile pro-abortion politician Joe Biden? Did he not call pro-abortion Governor Andrew Cuomo - WHOM HE HAS JURISDICTION OVER - a "Catholic in good standing"?!?
- Did not Bishop Galantino, the Secretary-General of the Italian Bishops Conference, just say a few months ago to the press: "I dont identify with the expressionless faces of those people who stand outside abortion clinics saying the rosary"?!?
- Doesn't the US Catholic Church take a lot of money from the Obama Administration to "house" these illegal immigrant children? Doesn't this represent a huge conflict of interest when that same US government is leading the culture of death?!?
This is what the "right hand", the management of the Catholic Church does on abortion, while the "left hand", the good people, work hard to try to stop it. The management actively undercuts the good people. That is NOT of Christ.

How do you know if I am blind or not? Are you mind reading again?

Im sorry that you believe the lamestream media. It is not true. No. This comes right from the official newspaper of the Catholic diocese I live in, in San Jose.
It most certainly is true - they published it themselves and mailed it to my mailbox, for being "registered" with one of their parishes!!

The One true Church and how to recognize it.
Use this guideline as a measure...
*It was founded by Jesus Christ Himself in Mt 16:18.
*It would be built on Simon Peter, Mt 16:18.
*It would be defended by GOD Himself, Mt 16:18-19.
*It would have authority given by Jesus Christ, Mt 16:19,18:17-18.
*It would be guided by the Holy Spirit who will dwell within it, Jn 14:15-17, Act 15:28,16:6.
*It would be one and undivided, Mk 3:24-25.
*It would have one fold and one shepherd, Jn 10:16.
*It would have Priests, Bishops, and Deacons, 1Tim 3:1-13.
*It must have the Holy Eucharist celebration, Jn 6:42-70, Acts 2:42.
*It must be found in all nations, Mt 28:19.
*It must be found in all centuries, Mt 28:20.
*Jesus Christ said He would be with His Church every day, in every year, until the end of the world, Mt 28:20. (This means no gaps in time.)
Good night.

When was the last time tyou prayed in front of an abortion clinic? NICE! You're trying to call me a hypocrite - I must be hitting some raw nerves.
I have ZERO obligation to prove my bona-fides to you, but I'll tell you anyways:
Last time I prayed in front of an abortion clinic was late last year. I have to admit I haven't done it this year, as I have been whipped around both trying to move out of CA, but then finally finding a very busy, demanding job. On the other hand, I have an other, VERY difficult pro-life project that I'm working on.

As a former Catholic, this shows a primary difference between Catholics and other Christians. Catholics, especially hard-core Catholics, are most highly disposed to protecting and showing the primacy of their church of their organization, as it is the organization that provides "sacraments".
What faith are you now, Yossarian? And when you were a Catholic, what did you think of the Sacraments? Did they provide any "power" or "strength" or "peace" for you; if so, did you partake in them frequently: Adoration, Confession, Reconciliation?

I invite you to come back to the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church at any time. (Believe me, you will come back.)
Presuming you are referring to the Roman Catholic church or one similar to it, your invitation presents a real problem for non-Roman Catholic born-again believers and steadfast followers of The Lord Jesus Christ.
Former Roman Catholics and their families make up the greater number in our church assembly/congregation, many serving in leadership. Like me, they have been sealed by The Holy Spirit and are humbly thankful for their present and future relationship with God.
Your understanding presents a real problem for our church assembly, were we to accept it as true.
To: Salvation
Where are you getting these false ideas?
False? Because you and other Roman Catholics don't believe what you are being told in this thread?
These days, on FR, we call such an accusation to be an Alinksy tactic.
Please depend on Holy Scripture for verification of all statements, not the teaching of clerics who differ from Scripture.
To: Resettozero
Have you never heard of Holy Tradition?
How did Paul know that Christ appeared to 500 people at one time? It’s not in the Gospels!!!!!
He got it person to person — face to face — Holy Tradition.
