“Jesus would have been breaking the law by eating blood vlad. Not two ways around it.”

No, He was not breaking the law. He, as God, could do as He wills. And you keep ignoring what I already referred to: Jesus declared all foods clean (Mk 7:19). Since He was God, His command superseded the earlier command that certain foods be regarded as unclean (Lev 11:1-8).

Also, the Old Testament dietary regulations passed away, for “These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink” (Col 2:17, 16).

And, as I mentioned earlier, the mention of not eating blood in Acts 15:20, 29 was suggested by James to keep Jews from being scandalized by the conduct of Gentile Christians. These pastoral provisions were only temporary. One, for instance, concerned abstaining from meat sacrificed to idols, yet later Paul allows eating meat sacrificed to idols as long as it doesn’t scandalize others (Rom 14:1-14, 1 Cor 8:1-13).

Also, the Old Testament specifically bans eating blood really for one reason: “The life of every creature is the blood of it; therefore I have said to the people of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood.” (Lev 17:14, Deut 12:23) They could not eat animal blood because it contained the animal’s life, but there is one Person whose life you must have in you, “Christ who is your life...” (Colossians 3:4)

>>He, as God, could do as He wills.<<

Your argument is mute. Jesus as a man was born under and subject to the law. Furthermore, Jesus would have been sinning if He caused the apostles to break the law by eating blood as they were also subject to the law and they most certainly were not God. If that would have been real blood as Catholics claim, Jesus would have been sinning.

>>Also, the Old Testament dietary regulations passed away, for “These are only a shadow of what is to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.<<

At the last supper Jesus had not yet died and arisen. Both Jesus the man and the apostles were still under the Old Testament laws.

>>These pastoral provisions were only temporary.<<

Again, mute even if so. Jesus and the apostles were all still under the Old Testament laws at the last supper.

Bottom line. If Jesus and the apostles had actually eaten real blood they would have been sinning.

All you do is babble..

I’m done with this conversation, friend.

I’ll leave with this (if you can’t or won’t even comprehend it, God Bless, but we have nothing to talk about):

Eph 2:8-9 “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves it is a gift of God that no man may boast”.

Blessings.

“Your argument is mute.”

All written arguments are mute, but yours is moot. Government school fail - again.

“All you do is babble..”

What I don’t do is distort what you say. Work on that.

“I’m done with this conversation, friend.”

You were done as soon as you distorted what I wrote.

“I’ll leave with this (if you can’t or won’t even comprehend it, God Bless, but we have nothing to talk about):”

You can’t really talk to someone who first distorts your words and then keeps avoiding that fact in repeated posts.

“Eph 2:8-9 “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves it is a gift of God that no man may boast”.”

James 2:24: “You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.”

I didn’t distort what you said, I’m sorry you feel so. That was never my intention.

Either let this go, or go get help.

And James is speaking of someone’s life as a Christian, yes they should show they are a Christian by their actions, but it is not required for salvation.

I’d also point out that Paul says the same in Romans as well.

I want to reiterate, I did nor do I intend to distort what you’ve written, EVER.

“Either let this go, or go get help.”

Incredible. So, you do something wrong, and refuse to acknowledge it, and tell me to “go get help”. You’re the one who clearly needs help. Find it.

“And James is speaking of someone’s life as a Christian, yes they should show they are a Christian by their actions, but it is not required for salvation.”

The verse says: “ You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.” JUSTIFIED BY WORKS N-O-T by faith alone.

I didn’t do anything, you’d like to twist a simple conservation into me changing what you said. That was not my intention, so I feel no guilt.

If I were you I’d let it go.

Romans 4:5 “However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”

Works shows our faith, it does not lead to salvation, and cannot.

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

No one’s making anything person, I’m trying to end this. It’s the other gentleman who’s tried to make this personal.

I have Jesus, and once one has Him, there NOTHING to add.

Prove to me by scripture that your claim is correct then I’ll accept what you have to say.

Pay special attention to the bolded verses so that you may do what you wrote you would do.

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
-Second Peter, Catholic chapter one, Protestant verses one to eleven, as authorized by King James

Fair enough, I hadn’t had the most Christlike attitude in this discussion; I have repented of this.

As for my salvation, yes I am sure, as it is based upon Him and what He’s done, not me.

Thanks friend! ;).
