You are so right on.

Here is some American and British correspondence from the 1944 time period that discusses actions against the remote death camps.

https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/aubombtoc.html

The big is issue is that the world discovered the Nazi genocide we declared Never Again.

Despite the cry of Never Again, 70 years later it's happening again - in the open this time for all of the world to see and with none of the constrains we had to deal with in 1944.

We can put a stop to the current genocide very effectively and we should because the evil is growing exponentially due to our inaction.

Inexplicably, the Pope ignores the plight of persecuted and even courts the favor of the genocidal terrorists.

Instead , he focuses on Global Warming and scolding the West for what he deems are its faults , both past and present.

The Pope seems to have found common ground with the Islamists in their mutual dislike for Western Culture

This man shows his ignorance on something that could be looked up on the Internet. It took thousands of men and hundreds of aircraft for one raid. To risk all of that to try and bomb individual rail lines, that were hard to hit at 20,000- 28,000 ft bombing altitude, and easily and quickly repaired is ludicrous

There is more to it than that.

1. As you point out, rail lines are readily repairable. Moreover, the German rail net was well developed, so that alternate routings were readily available.

2. The camps were in the East, in East Germany and Poland. Accordingly, many of them were beyond the operating radius of the bomber forces based in the UK.

3. Bombing accuracy was poor. The U.S. 8th Air Force B-17s and B-24s were lucky to hit large targets (such as steel mills) during the daytime. British Bomber Command operated at night...and was lucky to hit the city that had been targeted. Accordingly, if raids had been mounted on the camps themselves, it was likely that casualties among the prisoners would be high.

4. Finally, a bomb dropped on a rail line in East Germany was a bomb not dropped on a strategic target -- like a synthetic fuel plant, an oil refinery, a ball bearing plant, a steel mill, etc. The latter could bring an earlier end to the war; the other couldn't.

This Pope has a distinct weakness for Left-wing propaganda.

Uh, why didn’t the Catholic Church do something like excommunicate all German and Polish Catholics?

This Marxist should go back to Tierra del Fuego or wherever he came from.

I’m not a fan of the pope. I’m not Catholic either. I just don’t believe in misrepresentation of the truth.

I guess he forgot to tell them to.

It’s high time for him to mind his own business.

Any day now....I expect him to start appearing on the History Channel and providing advice on cars, transmissions, and brake repairs.

Maybe they will name a cell phone model after him. It can be called a Frank-o-phone. 😂

Our Muslim Brotherhood President is pretending to bomb ISIS, to keep everybody pacified. Only 25% of the planes are dropping any ordnance. I’m sure they’re being instructed to destroy empty fields, etc.

This can’t go on much longer. Tens of millions of Americans know exactly what is happening.

Will we get anything from any Republican but baby-talk? Will any Republican give a speech about the Communist big foundations—Rockefeller, Ford, Carnegie, et al.? About George Soros? About Planned Parenthood? Saul Alinsky? About the American and European corporations’ history of crime during the past 100 years?

Or will we get the same pablum focused on Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid?

Considering the track record of the RC Church during the last 1500 years this church and person has no moral authority to second guess anyone.

He has an opinion...but he’s not well educated in history other than Catholicism. He knows nothing or is deliberately saying things to get people riled.

So the pope is in Rome, which of course is in Italy. Which side again was Italy on in WWII?

The Pop's advisors know nothing of history. The allies heavily attacked the German rail system to little effect.

The Germans could have a heavily bombed marshaling yard back in operation in a matter of days.

Many in the Vatican and the Church undertook secret efforts to help the Jewish people, some paid with their lives. A few others did things like hide Eichmann and created papers for him until he could get to Argentina, the Pope’s home country, where he lived fairly openly for 16 years.

I thought he just said that the good guys need to separate themselves from evil weapons. I sometimes have trouble making up my mind, but it’s usually like trying to decide which options to get with the car I’m thinking of buying - or what to have for breakfast.

Well, Pope Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Francis) of Argentina, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones: why don't you explain why it took Argentina until the end of WWII, when the result was clear, to declare itself on the side of the allies. You might explain why hundreds of Nazis were permitted to hide in Argentina, to include Adolf Eichmann.

And you might explain this from US Secretary of State at the time, Cordell Hull: "Hull ordered the confiscation of Argentine goods, cessation of foreign trade with her, avoidance of any of US ships landing at Argentine ports, and he denounced Argentina as the "nazi headquarters in the occidental hemisphere".[32]" (Galasso, Norberto (2006). Perón: Formación, ascenso y caída (1893-1955). Buenos Aires: Colihue. ISBN 950-581-399-6. (Spanish) pp 198-200)

>> Why was this idiot elected Pope?

Because in the Catholic flavor of Christianity, mortal men were deemed “infallible” and set up as a political body to run the Bride of Christ, with no heavenly authority to do so.

It was a rather dumb and carnal idea from the beginning.

exactly. bombing railroads during WW2 was a futile effort at best. Took a large number of bombs and tracks were rebuilt overnight. Is this idiot Pope suggesting that we should of hit the rail cars with the prisoners in them? Yikes what a tool.
