“Did you know you could be Saved TODAY, and then indwelt by God’s Life in you?”

I was redeemed long ago and the Holy Spirit dwells within me. That’s why I don’t lie about what other people believe. I hope one day the Holy Spirit dwells within you.

So, here is the last of the Indulgences misnitry:

6. For the sake of those legitimately impeded, confessors can commute both the work prescribed and the conditions required (except, obviously, detachment from even venial sin).

7. Indulgences can always be applied either to oneself or to the souls of the deceased, but they cannot be applied to other persons living on earth.

pingaling ... might find the Catholic explanation of the Indulgences ministry interesting in its heretical assumptions.

Reading those seven points reveals to any soul who knows Whom is God and Whom is The Deliverer just why catholics don’t want to look at the heresies of Catholicism. Truly it is written [Isaiah 29:13] Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: [Matthew 15:8] This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [Mark 7:6] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

How so? Christ existed as God long before the world or Mary were created. There is no way she could be mother of his divine side. She is as human and you and I are, she was not sinless and needed a savior the same as you and I.

I am speaking carefully, slowly, in small words. Most of all I am speaking truth.

May is the Mother of Jesus, who is fully human and fully divine. Thus she can be called “The Mother of God.”

catholics can claim they worship the Trinity and fawn over the administrations of an institution claiming authority they were never issued, but God sees the inward parts. The Indulgences are the open proof of an heretical religion trying to appear Christian. But at its heart it serves the evil one with every insistence. And, BTW, when the man of sin is revealed, he too will have a trinity to offer to catholics. It won't make it magically be valid though ...

The problem is that Catholics have a different jesus, than the Jesus of the scriptures.. Their jesus does not save anyone and saves everyone.. Their jesus is subject to bribes ...indulgences... good works.. sacraments ...mass... etc...

He keeps a record of their "violations" ..subtracts the works stuff to come up with a final judgement ... as I have told vladimir before... they have a probation agent... not a Savior

“To Protestantism False Witness is the principle of propagation. … Taking things as they are, and judging of them by the long run, one may securely say, that the anti-Catholic Tradition could not be kept alive, would die of exhaustion, without a continual supply of fable.” (John Henry Newman, Lecture 4. True Testimony Insufficient for the Protestant View)

John Henry Newman: I am but showing how Romanists reconcile their abstract reverence for Antiquity with their Romanism,—with their creed, and their notion of the Church’s infallibility in declaring it; how small their success is, and how great their unfairness, is another question. Whatever judgment we form either of their conduct or its issue, such is the fact, that they extol the Fathers as a whole, and disparage them individually; they call them one by one Doctors of the Church, yet they explain away one by one their arguments, judgments, and testimony. They refuse to combine their separate and coincident statements; they take each by himself, and settle with the first before they go to the next. And thus their boasted reliance on the Fathers comes, at length, to this,—to identify Catholicity with the decrees of Councils, and to admit those Councils only which the Pope has confirmed. John Henry Newman, Lectures on the Prophetical Office of the Church: Viewed Relatively to Romanism and Popular Protestantism, 2nd ed. (London: Gilbert & Rivington, 1838), pp. 70-71.

I'm not a (fill in the blank denomination.

I'm a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and have believed on Him for salvation.

God isn't a (fill in the blank) denomination and neither are those who follow Christ.

Put me down as a Christian, as the believers were first called in Antioch.

She’s a good gal and posts a lot of pro-life stuff, so I’m not trying to attack her, but these anti-protestant threads seem to get more numerous all the time.

Oh, but don't you know, we've been assured that Catholics NEVER post anti-Protestant threads.

I suspect that the closer we get to election time, the more we will see “bashing” of every denomination by other denominations just as we will see more “Civil War” spats and so on- more than just Freepers post here and in my opinion there are people who are here just to agitate and divide to help the left, which cannot win unless it can divide conservatives and get them to stay home on election day.

We all notice how one will use any excuse he/she can cobble to avoid confronting the heresies in Catholicism, like the specious issuance of Indulgences. Their Pope can manipulate God to do as he, their Pope, commands. The seven points posted regarding Indulgences shows just how far from Christianity catholicism has gotten.

The Holy Spirit didn't think so.

I'll stick with agreeing with the Holy Spirit in what He inspired in Scripture: *Mary, the mother of Jesus*.

That way, I KNOW I can't be wrong.

The Holy Spirit is clear in Scripture in calling Mary *the mother of Jesus*.

John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

John 2:3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
