My own theory would be that it came about through the social justice issues, at least for the modern era. But I don’t really know.

Six Supreme Court Justices are Roman Catholics. Of the six, two are Democrats. Not counting Judge Roberts who is a...I don't really know.

I believe there is a real problem with Catholicism having a higher proportion of liberals than Protestantism/evangelicalism, taken as a whole.

There are only a mini-handful [if that] of Catholics who partake in the Sacraments frequently, and actually believe what the faith teaches, who are liberals. So there are "toe-tag" Catholics, if you will, and then there are True Catholics. Jesus knows the difference; the polls, however, don't know squat.

Romanism is a dead faith ... Look at Europe.. coming here

Most Catholics who take their faith seriously are eager to downsize the Church. It is not a bad thing getting rid of members [like yourself for instance] who downplay everything powerful about the faith, leaving people [who listen to them] squirming [and screaming] to be fed by the Eucharistic Jesus...

I have been fed by Jesus for most of my life, and never once bent the knee to a wafer in a monstrance. I was just sharing some of the miracles I’ve seen with my granddaughter. She was so excited to know that Jesus is still there to talk to, and not just a character in a Bible story. Love my granddaughter. :)

Peace,

SR

Ah, I see...a secular source is not allowed a opinion or to ask a question...even though the author of this piece is a life long Catholic...guess he doesn’t have a red beanie.
