There is NO OTHER WAY to take the actual words of Jesus. Either he was lying, nuts or the true Son of God and unfortunately this Pope and many other "religious leaders" don't believe Him, sadly leading those who follow them straight to Hell along with them!
The reason I'm asking is that the Catholic Church says that muslims & Christians worship the same God, which I don't believe is true. I've read that mohammad took one of the 13(?) pagan gods they worshiped at that time, the moon god, to worship as their one god. If so, where can I find the source?

The Pope is correct. All people meet God in different ways. Muzzies meet Him as satan. Buddhists meet Him as their equal.
Hindus meet him as one of many. Taoists do not meet Him. They are Him. Liberals meet Him at a cocktail party.
He is correct, some will get a warm welcome, others will get the “back hand”.
