Vatican cardinal: U.S. bathroom battle is part of ‘insidious war’ against human nature

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 17, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – A top Vatican cardinal blasted the transgender bathroom agenda in the United States on Tuesday as diabolical.

Cardinal Robert Sarah, the prefect for the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Sacraments, said at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., that there are clear signs in the United States of religious persecution and a war against human nature.

“Do we not see signs of this insidious war in this great nation of the United States?” Sarah asked.  “In the name of ‘tolerance,’ the Church’s teachings on marriage, sexuality and the human person are dismantled.  The legalization of same-sex marriage, the obligation to accept contraception within health care programs, and even ‘bathroom bills’ that allow men to use the women’s restrooms and locker rooms.  Should not a biological man use the men’s restroom?  How simpler can that concept be?”

Sarah’s remarks drew roaring applause.

He continued, “How low we are sinking for a nation built on a set of moral claims about God, the human person, the meaning of life, and the purpose of society, given by America’s first settlers and founders!  God is named in your founding documents as ‘Creator’ and ‘Supreme Judge’ over individuals and government.  The human person endowed with God-given and therefore inalienable rights to ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’  George Washington wrote that ‘the establishment of civil and religious liberty was the motive that induced me to the field of battle.’”

The Obama administration recently threatened to withhold federal funding from public schools that don’t allow biological males to access women’s restrooms.  This came in the wake of the administration suing North Carolina after the state passed a bathroom privacy law that the left labeled discriminatory because it restricted bathrooms to people of the same sex.

Based on what, exactly?

Well, for one, a lot of those child molesters from the lower 48 were sent to Alaska, where they wreaked havoc on the Alaska Native children population. All that sexual abuse in village after village left generations of Alaska Natives in such despair that they have an astronomical suicide and alcoholism rate, far above average.

My mother tried to shove Catholicism down our throats. In the end, not a single one of her children, grand children or great grand children is a catholic. It has been totally rejected by all of us. I can't think of a single reason why I'd want to be a catholic. One need only review the sordid history of the church, the rampant homosexuality and pedophilia of its clergy and its ridiculous traditions, like praying to "saints" and the Virgin Mary, its idolatry, and celibacy rules that promote homosexuality and pedophilia. Show me in the bible were celibacy is mandated. Other religions seem to do just fine with married clergy. I can't see myself being a catholic any more than I see myself being a muslim or a fascist or a member of any other reprehensible organization or religion. Rejecting catholicism is easy once you understand its history.

The source is a particular individual who’s agenda has been picked up by various self-loathing leftists.

While Jesus weeps at how catholicism has twisted and distorted what He began.

Hey Cardinal, you also know what is in human nature: the idea of the Free Market.

You know, where two people make a deal, in their own interests, without outside interference?

You might convey that idea to the dopey Pope.

OK, good. Thanks.

I'm not trying to be obtuse here, but the "bathroom war" movement is led by convicted pedophile... whom?

It was in a Charlotte Observer article - they had the info but withheld it - Michelle Malkin broke the story. I’m not interested in the rest of this story so you’ll have to take it from here.

Amen, Cardinal. It’s as simple as that.

Unfortunately, common sense doesn’t appear to be so common any more.

Such is the dumbing down and moral corruption of our American culture.

"...A top Vatican cardinal blasted the transgender bathroom agenda in the United States on Tuesday as diabolical...."

Let's be clear to the Vatican and the world. This transgender bathroom agenda is 100% the agenda of our Queer-in-Chief, not that of the American people. This was not even an issue in this country until our leadership-challenged president decided to just force it down everyone throats without any discussion, debate or action by congress.

One thing we can be sure of, is that Donald Trump will not force such perverted behavior onto our school kids like Obama and Lynch have done. Trump can't get elected anytime too soon, that's for sure.
