Do you know Jesus Christ?

Posted on 06/15/2017 5:54:33 PM PDT by JacquelineDeane55

Hi guys.

I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it on my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no laughing matter.

So I am going to write a post and witness to the lost on here...

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some Scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

Rom 3:23 : For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

Blessings, Jacqueline

The longer I live the more I realize that nothing is more important or worthwile than knowing Him. All of this will pass away...but He is forever.

Amen.

Religion is void without a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ.

And a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, makes religion superfluous. At least that's my experience.

That’s pretty cool. I hope you find your ministry soon. These types of posts need wider dissemination.

I think the spirit of the Lord will shortly burst upon this land. Donald Trump was part of the setup — he is not the cause. Jesus is the cause.

It gives what we call religion a valid driver.

There was a guy who was going to die soon, so God came down and asked him “Where do you want to go, heaven or hell”?
He thought about it and said “Can I see each one first”?
“Of course”, said God. “Here’s Jesus to show you heaven”.
He looked at it and saw angels sitting on clouds, heard soft music, and said “Yeah this is nice, can I see hell now”?
So the devil came over to show him hell. He saw people dancing and partying to really good music and said “Hey, I like this place, I’ll go to hell if you don’t mind”.
So eventually the guy died, went to hell, and there was fire and torment. He said to the devil “Hey what’s all this, where is the partying and dancing”?
The devil said “Oh that was just the demo”.

Ba-dum-bump.

The Lord showed me an interesting way to meet “passer-by’s”. He was teaching me about generosity. Not the kind where you write a check or hand change to a beggar. What He told me was this: “Give away $100 a week - to anyone - until I tell you to stop.”
I asked where the money would come from, and He just said, “It will be there.”
The response of giving money to strangers and telling them “God Loves You and wants you to have this from Him”, is amazing! I learned that 2 twenties at a time is about right: more than pocket change but not extravagant. I would keep $40 in my left pocket and be ready - whenever.
It was really hard a first - I had to really look at people - really notice them. And I kept falling behind. But over a few weeks it really got to be more natural - and rewording! And every week, the next $100 was there.
I have now stopped giving away $100 a week, but I still keep $40 at the ready in my left pocket (I call it my “left pocket” ministry - never let the right had know what your left had is doing). This has had some truly amazing impacts, but I have no way of know the long-term responses. One lady said it was her birthday and she was very said. I told her God knew her and wanted her to enjoy this day. She went away squealing for joy!
Just a thought - God works in mysterious ways.

Well, welcome to Free Republic.

God bless you for your efforts at preaching the gospel.

And be aware that the Religion Forum on Free Republic is not for the faint of heart. It can get pretty rough here on occasion and your post is likely to draw some ire from others.

Remember who it is they are opposing. Not you but Christ in you.

There are many who read these threads and do not post but know that this is seen.

Hi, there’s a Biblical thread here if you’d like to keep posting things like this. Thanks for posting.

I missed that. Not if they were trying to kill you first. No foul, no sin...just common sense.

Actually, you are correct.

It's MURDER that is the sin. There are situations, as in war or capital punishment, or self-defense when a life is taken but it is not classified as murder and hence not a sin.

And a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ, makes religion superfluous.

Well said. I think in this case, after a relationship with Christ, "religion" becomes a Christ-centered Church to attend if Church is important to you.

Church isn't necessary for salvation, but sometimes it's uplifting to be around a body of fellow believers.

Just saying but I think it’s the physical body she’s referring to; Yeshua is the Logos mentioned in the OT and it was He who was speaking in the OT.

I would never minimize the value of church, because my awareness of Jesus came through a person with church affiliation.

Yes, I know Jesus Christ as my Savior. Praise God for His grace and mercy. I am so thankful that Jesus died in my place for my sins and gave me His righteousness.

Keep up the good work!

Hi HiTech,

We’re of the same mind.

Question. If Paul was “Mr. Macho” (and the ear was put back, as you know), what about Michael?

He is a fighter for sure. Are we angels or mortals? Does God put a sword in our hand on occasion?

My personal experience is that He keeps us believers in His hand to do his will. Occasionally we meet angels. Occasionally, we might be an angel to someone else.

I’m interested in your thoughts on this.

Kit.

JD,

May God Bless You.

If your preacher doesn’t know how to use your skills, drive and passion, God will.

No worries. Put it in His hands.

Kit
