Mexico plans to deport about 500 migrants who it said tried on Sunday to “violently” and “illegally” cross the border into the US, the Mexican interior ministry has said in a statement. It added that Mexican authorities had contained the protest at the crossing between Tijuana and San Diego and that, despite heightened tensions there, Mexico would not send military forces to control 7,417 migrants from a caravan who have gathered at the border. Amid heated rhetoric from Donald Trump and confusion over a reported deal to keep asylum seekers in Mexico, all traffic was halted for several hours on...

On Saturday (Nov. 24) Twitter user Masin Elije took to the social platform and went into detail about their alleged relationship and the events leading up to the present day accusation. Elije said he met Howard on the set of Wild ‘N Out. “We...

Regarding the midrash about Osnat's pendant/locket [that identified her to Joseph as a daughter of Jacob], it reminded me of the classic locket shape of a heart. Here is one with Hebrew "love" spelled on it, ahava: ×הבה I had further considered that there is only so much information that can be written on a piece of jewelry, so perhaps a pendant with the Hebrew word "love" further represented a statement for Joseph to decode*; e.g. ahava as an acronym for "my husband is the lord of dreams" ("ishi hu ba'al ha-chalomot", which was what Joseph's brothers had derisively called...

Another reason is the vast expanse of cheap land in this state, much of it federally owned, and some of which is now being auctioned off for as little as $2 an acre. That's a fraction of some prices in Texas, Larry says, where more competition has driven up the cost of land. In Wyoming, "we're looking at places that aren't so crowded," he says. "It's untouched fields and that's what people are most interested in." The Trump administration has made much more of that cheap, public land available to oil and gas companies. The amount of land for lease...

NASA's InSight Mars lander is scheduled to touch down on the Red Planet tomorrow afternoon (Nov. 26), and mission team members and agency officials are understandably nervous about the make-or-break moment. … The difficulty for landed missions stems chiefly from the fact that Mars features both a relatively strong gravitational pull and a wispy atmosphere, which is just 1 percent as thick as that of Earth, said Tom Hoffman, InSight project manager at JPL. So, approaching spacecraft get accelerated to high speeds and then have a hard time dissipating enough energy to slow down before landing, he explained during today's...

The U.S. Navy expects one of its officers to be questioned as part of an investigation into the collision of a Norwegian warship and a commercial oil tanker this month in one of the Scandinavian nation’s fjords. The American officer, who has not been identified, was onboard the Norwegian navy frigate as part of a military personnel exchange, according to U.S. and Norwegian officials. The sailor’s role on the ship remains unclear. The Nov. 8 incident ultimately sank the 439-foot Norwegian warship and left several people injured. Norwegian naval officers beached the vessel — the KNM Helge Ingstad — in...

The Stench From CupichChurch McCarrick cronies either get promoted or remain protected. The winds of scandal whipping around the Church’s gay pederasty problem are not dissipating but picking up speed. This is foiling the devious plans of Pope Francis, who deliberately scheduled his “abuse summit” six months out in the hopes that few would care about it by then. News of that quickie gathering of bishops scheduled for next February commanded little respect from the laity before this week, but even less now that its primary American organizer has been announced — Blase Cupich, who owes his elevation in large...

Swedish party wants to ban deportations - 'since white Swedes are not expelled' This weekend the Feminist Initiative (FI) held its annual congress in Västerås. Hopes are high of getting into parliament next year, where the party would, among other things, push for absolutely free immigration. During the congress, Victoria Kawesa from Uganda was elected to Sweden's first black party leader. Now she questions why foreign criminals are deported from Sweden, when "white Swedes" are not. FI wants to push for scrapping the defense - and that Sweden should have completely free immigration. - These are some suggestions that hopefully...

Co-hosts of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony officiated by Rep. Its been 45 years since the war ended in Vietnam. Remember all the protesting that was happening during the Vietnam war. Why did the protesting stop? One major incident was the tragedy at Kent State where four student protesters were killed and nine were wounded by the State National Guard. Then in 1973 suddenly everything stopped, with the signing of the Paris Peace Accords. Now, we have protesting invaders from south of the boarder. How about drawing up Peace Invasion Plan Accords with those countries involved with the USA Invasion?

Russia’s effort to keep Ukraine under its thumb prompted a revolution in 2014 and a war that has claimed more than 10,000 lives. It also prompted, on Monday, what may be one of the most serious splits in Christendom since the Great Schism between Rome and Constantinople in 1054 and the Protestant Reformation 500 years ago. This new crisis has deep historical roots, and could shape religious and secular ties among many countries for years to come. Here’s what happened: The Church of Russia announced this week that it was breaking ties with the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, which has...

Mexico will deport almost 500 migrants who attempted to storm the US border, according to its interior ministry. The group were rounded up after trying to cross the border "violently" and "illegally" on Sunday, the ministry said in a statement. Video footage shows dozens of people - including women and children - running towards the fence that separates the two countries near the city of Tijuana. They were repelled by tear gas used by US border officers. Mexico's interior ministry said all those who were identified as having tried to cross would be deported immediately. It added that, "far from...

Continuing to criminalize the Kurdish freedom movement in Turkey and strengthening Turkish authoritarianism serves no one but President Erdogan and his neo-Ottoman, Islamist-nationalist agenda. On November 6, the U.S. unexpectedly announced a total of $12 million in reward payments for information on three senior members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) – Murad Karayilan, Cemil Bayik and Duran Kalkan. These three have led the PKK’s decades-long rebel war against Turkey. For Ankara and Washington, the PKK is a terrorist group. But it’s not that simple. The PKK is fighting for Kurdish rights and freedoms in Turkey, which Turkey has long violently...
