Kanye wasn’t lying; this is all about God. From the song titles to lyrics, Jesus Is King is centered around Christianity. If you haven’t listened yet, expect lines that illustrate Ye’s relationship to Christ and mission to spread the gospel. “I know Christ is the fountain that filled my cup/I know God is alive,” he sings on “God Is.” While some lyrics are celebratory and sound like testimony, Kanye also sprinkles in more aggressive bars that could be interpreted as commands: “Follow Jesus, listen, and obey,” he spits on “Closed on Sunday.” Later on “God Is,” he instructs fans to...

Concrete is the second-most used material on earth. It is also the second-largest emitter of CO2, with cement manufacturing accounting for 5 to 7 percent of annual emissions. The continued popularity of concrete as a material of choice in the design and construction industry, coupled with increasing unease of the environmental consequences, has put concrete firmly in the spotlight of innovation and experimentation. As a result, designers, architects, and researchers around the world are generating multiple visions for what the future of concrete in architecture could look like. Concrete has been a material of choice for architects and builders for...

How important is it for a politician to tell the truth about his or her personal history? It’s a question Americans face daily, especially since the establishment news media seems solely preoccupied with overturning every stone or pebble in a presidential candidate’s individual background, endlessly snooping for the one scandalous tidbit of dirt (information) that could sway hypothetical voter x’s decision come next spring (the party primaries) or thirteen months from now in the national election. “Character counts” is the gossipers’ mantra, but only appears salient where conservatives or Republicans are at issue. Former Arkansas governor and budding president of...

He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian." Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars, And say "These wounds I had on Crispin's day." Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot, But he'll remember, with advantages, What feats he did that day. Then shall our names, Familiar in his mouth as household words— Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester— Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb'red. This story shall the good man teach his...

Irish American Joe Biden is speaking the truth he would beat Trump, impeachment or not, and the polls agree. I’m getting very tired of the liberal media knocking back Joe Biden at every opportunity and promoting loony left Elizabeth Warren. She wins every debate they claim, she has a plan for everything (so did Hillary Clinton), she is Harvard so she would be unbeatable. As a member of the writing class, I can tell you the media retains a veneer of impartiality but they love to play king and queen makers. Despite their best efforts, however, Irish American Biden is...

A key witness in the House’s impeachment investigation filed a lawsuit in federal court Friday asking a judge to rule on whether he can testify to congressional investigators after President Trump invoked “constitutional immunity." Charles Kupperman, who served as President Trump’s deputy national security adviser, was subpoenaed by House Democrats on Monday to testify in their investigation into the president’s dealings with Ukraine. However, the White House declared Friday that Trump had invoked “constitutional immunity” to bar Kupperman from appearing on Capitol Hill. “Plaintiff obviously cannot satisfy the competing demands of both the legislative and executive branches, and he is...

Consumers are paying more attention to their carbon footprint and it could cost airlines billions of dollars, Citi said in a note to clients Tuesday. The firm said that "flight shaming," which it defines as "the inherent guilt that an individual feels as a result of one's aviation-related carbon footprint" is causing consumers to explore alternative modes of transportation when possible and to look for ways to offset their carbon emissions. Citi estimates that over the next five years the cost of carbon offsetting economy flights will grow to $3.8 billion per year. It will either be absorbed by the...

FARGO — A Fargo man is on a mission to expose local massage parlors for what he believes they are — fronts for commercial sex and human trafficking. Keith Coates, 26, said he visited four such parlors in the metro area, all with the same result — an unmistakable offer from the masseuse for a sexual service in exchange for money, which he declined each time. “I couldn’t believe it. It just seemed so surreal,” said Coates, who has worked as a massage therapist in Fargo for more than two years. In addition, he said he has what he believes...

Anti-Semitism is gaining a stronger foothold in German society, the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing a new study from the World Jewish Congress (WJC). Out of the 1,300 Germans who took part in the representative survey, 27% agreed with a range of anti-Semitic statements and stereotypes about Jewish people. Some 41% said they agreed with the statement that “Jews talk about the Holocaust too much.” The same portion said they believed “Jews are more loyal to Israel than to Germany.” Over 20% of respondents said they agreed that Jewish people have “too much power” over the economy, international...

Just when you think gender insanity couldn’t reach a higher fever pitch. Transgender activists have successfully lobbied sanitary pad brand Always to remove the Venus symbol, which has for millennia been representative of the female sex, from the packaging of their products to “be inclusive of transgender and nonbinary customers.” CNN reports: "Transgender activists and allies had publicly urged Procter & Gamble to redesign its pad wrapper without the gender symbol, a circle atop a cross. Among their arguments were that not all people who menstruate are women and that not all women menstruate. "The change is the latest in...
