MADISON - State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the situation at the Capitol is "unsafe." Thousands of protesters pushed past security, climbed through windows and flooded the Wisconsin Capitol on Wednesday night after Senate Republicans pushed through a plan to strip most public workers of their collective bargaining rights. Also reported on WTMJ, Minority Leader Mark Miller (D) may have sent a tweet out last night encouraging protestors to storm the Captiol building and cause disturbances.

Making a last-ditch effort to save his health care overhaul, President Barack Obama on Monday put forward a nearly $1 trillion, 10-year compromise that would allow the government to deny or roll back egregious insurance premium increases that infuriated consumers. Posted Monday morning on the White House Web site, the plan would provide coverage to more than 31 million Americans now uninsured without adding to the federal deficit.
