Identity Theft: Kathleen Sebelius admits that convicted felons could be hired as ObamaCare "navigators," giving them access to the personal information of those signing up. Some might already be on the job. Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius made the admission Wednesday in an exchange with Sen. John Cornyn during a Senate Finance Committee hearing. The Texas Republican asked if it's true that there's no requirement for navigators to undergo a criminal background check and that felons, including those convicted of crimes such as identity theft, could be given access to our most private financial and medical information. "This is...

Rural Maryland regions are up against a different set of challenges than urban areas in the implementation of the federal health-care overhaul. The Rural Action Assembly brought together officials from rural Maryland and other stakeholders to discuss a variety of topics, such as broadband access, climate change and health care. Each region has navigators sprinkled throughout the counties to help enroll residents in Medicaid and qualified health plans. They also have assisters that can sign people up for Medicaid. And it’s important to explain how affordable the plans seem to be. “There’s a sticker shock for a lot of people,...

Corruption: The crash-prone government health-care site asks applicants if they want to register to vote as they try to sign up for ObamaCare. By sheer coincidence, a plurality of the uninsured are likely Democratic voters. Call it Motor Voter on steroids — the piggybacking of voter registration to an otherwise unrelated government function. Those trying to navigate Healthcare.gov, a website that looks and functions as if designed by the department of motor vehicles, are being asked if they want to register to vote just in time for crucial 2014 midterm elections that are likely to be a referendum on ObamaCare....

A Kansas Obamacare “navigator” stormed the property of the Republican secretary of state earlier this year, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.“It is shocking that the Obama administration has hired as a navigator a person who has been caught trespassing and attempting to intimidate a public official,” Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach told TheDCNF.“This kind of thug activity is bad enough, but giving this person federal tax dollars is sickening,” he added.Under the Affordable Care Act, 105 organizations have received $67 million in federal to help guide Obamacare enrollees through the process of obtaining health insurance under the...

The shortcomings of ObamaCare continue to seep into the light, putting the lie to virtually every claim made by Barack Hussein about his namesake “healthcare” scheme. But one part of the law remains as much a mystery now as when it was written. Section 1555 of the Affordable Care Act is quite short. It reads: “No individual, company, business, nonprofit entity, or health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage shall be required to participate in any Federal health insurance program created under this Act (or any amendments made by this Act), or in any Federal health insurance...

St. Louis - News 4 is issuing a warning of possible scammers taking advantage of the Affordable Care Act involving the navigators who help people sign up for the health insurance exchange. Certified navigators are operating all over the state and officials warn the legit navigators will set up appointments and have strict rules for taking personal information. If you are doing it by yourself online, make sure the website ends with .GOV as scammers have set up false websites hoping to steal people’s information as well.

When the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed, the Obama Administration envisioned that all states would implement the program as outlined in the law. However, unlike any federal program in recent history, 27 states have decided not to create a Health Insurance Exchange and instead let the federal government implement it at a cost in excess of $8 billion. This results in a “top down” payment system versus the “bottom up” approach the framers of the legislation expected. What this means is that some states will have federal marketplaces, and others will have their own locally developed marketplaces for employers...

As Obamacare is being launched with all it's "FAIL FARE", I hate to bust your bubble. This has nothing to do with Healthcare. Or Insurance. This is Acorn on steroids. Acorn with techno-savy, government backing with the basic goal of creating as many government dependents as possible. There are dozens of "private" companies that are authorized to facilitate enrollment in the so-called exchanges. These guys are simply agents that front as "insurance" and collect money to get people to enroll in Government Care. This administration is using the private sector to expand the nanny state. And they will call this...

As Obamacare enrollment begins, the Department of Health and Human Services has a helpful tip for the program's so-called Navigators: "Do not leave documents that contain PII [Personally Identifiable Information] or tax return information on printers and fax machines." The warning is contained in Section 2.4.3 of the 207-page Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator Standard Operating Procedures Manual. The same section asks navigators to "double-check" the fax number before faxing Obamacare enrollee's tax returns: "When faxing PII or tax return information, double-check that the recipient's fax number is correct and that someone is able to pick up the faxed information immediately."...

Twenty years ago, the mayoral victory of Rudy Giuliani represented a repudiation of the dysfunctional left-wing machine that had previously run New York City. Taxpayers, parents in failing schools, residents of crime-ridden neighborhoods, and job creators have all benefited from the tough reforms Giuliani implemented — and his successor Michael Bloomberg largely implemented — in the years after that sea-change election. But this November, the Left looks ready to storm back into New York’s City Hall in the person of Bill de Blasio — who, back in the days when he served as an aide to David Dinkins, Giuliani’s Democratic...

President Obama and more than a dozen U.S. government agencies participated in a Washington D.C. conference that featured a keynote speaker—a black activist who headed the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN)—who made racist remarks about whites. It gets better; American taxpayers helped fund the annual event, put on by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), a group that aims to improve the socioeconomic circumstances of African Americans and other underserved communities. Each exhibitor paid $2,000 to participate in the yearly showcase which is billed as one of the largest gatherings of African American professionals. Eighteen federal agencies...

On the evening of September 17, Bill de Blasio declared his primary victory, formally becoming the Democratic nominee and front-runner for New York City mayor. Standing behind him, one of the few invited onstage for this momentous event, was a friend, an adviser, a strategist, and a campaigner — Bertha Lewis, former head of ACORN. De Blasio, the truest of progressives — who turned some heads recently when he defended his support of the Sandinista government in Nicaragua in the 1980s — has been connected for more than a decade with the now infamous Association of Community Organizations for Reform...

It is called the Federal Data Hub. Massive amounts of information gathered on every American and shared between government agencies. Agencies ranging from the the IRS to the Department of Defense, Homeland Security and Health and Human Services. The best part there is no opting out. So who all has access to this information and the bigger question does private information even exist anymore? The step toward truth is to inform. There is as we speak an army of new federal government employees being hired by the department of Health and Human Services. Why does HHS need all these new...

ACORN’s former CEO Bertha Lewis urged Africans-Americans to support increased immigration as a strategy to gain political power. “We got some Latino cousins, we got some Asian cousins, we got some Native-American cousins, we got all kind of cousins,” said Lewis, who spoke Thursday at the annual political conference of the Congressional Black Caucus. “Cousins need to get together because if we’re going to be [part of the non-white] majority, it makes sense for black people in this country to get down with immigration reform,” said Lewis, whose ACORN group was formally disbanded in 2010 after a series of scandals....

New documents obtained by Judicial Watch, proves that the Obama administration continued to fund ACORN after all funding was banned for that organization. ACORN Housing changed their name to Affordable Housing Centers of America. All the top officials at ACORN Housing retained the same positions at AHCOA. They also retained the same tax number. Snip Since there was a federal ban on public funding of ACORN by the federal government, they should not have received a federal grant. NeighborWorks America, a public/private entity, funded by the taxpayers of the United States, determined that was a violation of federal law. Judicial...

The Obama Administration has given a $200,000 Housing Grant to rebrand an ACORN affiliate despite a Federal Ban on funding ACORN. Judicial Watch reports the following: Judicial Watch, announced today that it has obtained documents from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) revealing that on February 12, 2013, HUD Assistant Secretary for Office of Housing Counseling Sarah Gerecke may have violated federal law by requesting that $201,222.07 be transferred from the account of the defunct Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA), an ACORN spin-off, to HUD intermediary Mission for Peace “to specifically pay for the activities of former...

More than 100 groups will split $67 million to help people “navigate” the new Obamacare health insurance exchanges — more money than the administration initially said would be available but short of what advocates say will be needed to help people sign up, especially in states where the governors are hostile. The grants announced Thursday will go to 105 organizations, including community groups, health care providers, business groups and a handful of Planned Parenthood affiliates. The program, which got an extra $13 million from the health law prevention fund, is for those states that refused to set up their own...

Not a single person showed up at the Georgetown waterfront Tuesday for a climate change agenda event put on by Organizing for Action, the shadowy nonprofit advocacy group born out of President Obama’s 2012 campaign, the NRCC wrote in its blog. The event page for the “Climate Change Day of Action Rally” disappeared after rainy weather appeared to drive away whatever people planned to attend.
