LONDON, July 21 (Reuters) - Olympic organisers are "very alive" to the threat of a cyber attack on the London 2012 Olympics, made more challenging because of its evolving nature, senior Interior Ministry officials said on Tuesday. Ticketing systems, the transport network and hotel bookings as well as security are among potential targets. Olympic security officials are also planning for the possible diversion of aircraft to protect airspace around the venues from terrorist attacks, the officials said. The greatest threat to security at the Games is international terrorism, the government's latest "Safety and Security Strategy" report said.

“Struggle above all else, that’s what’s missing in Italy”, says one of the new millennium’s individualist anarchists. The one afraid of missing a fleeting opportunity while waiting for the right moment. “When is the right moment? When do we grasp the fucking moment? It’s like the communists... wait for the perspective of revolution! What perspective? The perspective of revolution is now! It’s right now! I can step outside and I’ve got all the targets I want!... Do you know how many targets I’ve got if I just nip out? There’s no point in waiting for something to fall into your...

Unhappy with the results of last night's peaceful, orderly exercise of democracy, the anarchists associated with the occupy movement took to the streets of Milwaukee tonight for an impromptu march. Exclusive video from Breitbart News' Jeremy Segal shows the march in its inception. As of 7:05 ET, there was one arrest reported. Developing...

Dozens of Arabs and leftists went on a rampage outside the village of Tekoa in Gush Etzion Wednesday, in the fourth such incident this month. IDF soldiers stopped the rioters a few meters away from the community's outer limit and declared the place a closed military zone. The activists refused to leave and began physically attacking the soldiers, as well as one of the Jewish residents who arrived on the scene. The soldiers proceeded to arrest the activists. Gush Etzion Regional Authority Head Davidi Perl issued a statement following the incident in which he warned against allowing the recurring events...

A Chicago police officer suffered a stab wound to the leg, Sunday, and three others were injured during a day of protests around the NATO summit. Chicago police Supt. Garry McCarthy did not know what was used to stab the officer and became emotional when discussing the crowd with which his officers dealt. "If you think it's easy to ask people to do what they did, it's not," he said, pausing to gain his composure. "Asking people to put themselves in harm's way, knowing that they're going to get assaulted, and to be able to stand there and take it,...

Chicago isn’t exactly a hotbed of homespun America and apple pie motivated sentiment. But apparently even the residents of Chicago have limits regarding what they’ll tolerate in their neighborhood. And one of those limits is, apparently, anarchist and communist protesters. Today marks a moment when radical Leftist anti-NATO demonstrations in the city, affiliated with “Occupy NATO,” are hitting their stride. And as with all Leftist demonstrations, black bloc tactics are involved. To that end, a group of masked thugs from the protests went to the trouble of taking over Chicago’s Halsted Street, even going so far as laying down in...

One of the five self-described anarchists arrested last week for attempting to blow up a local bridge signed the lease for a West Side warehouse where about a dozen members of the Occupy Cleveland group live. In a one-hour recording of a Friday evening general assembly meeting of the group posted on its website, occupy leaders expressed concern about Anthony Hayne's name being on the lease, which strengthens his link to the group.... "If this gets into the media, it would be a disaster."

What a lucky, lucky week this has been for Greater Cleveland -- especially for whichever unsuspecting souls were driving across the Ohio 82 bridge across the Cuyahoga Valley while five petty criminals associated with Occupy Cleveland were trying to community organize it. The Occupiers, authorities tell us, thought they had rigged the span with plastic explosives that would detonate when they punched a code into a cellphone. The only thing that went up in smoke, though, was their plot. They were working with dummy devices -- fitting -- sold to them by an FBI informant whom they failed to recognize...

Police called on the public today to help find several people who attacked officers during a May Day protest in downtown Los Angeles. Chief Charlie Beck shared video images at a news conference of two attacks on officers that occurred after a splinter group broke from the main march on Broadway and briefly skirmished with police. In one video, a man is seen hitting a female officer from behind, smashing what appears to be a metallic-coloured drum into her helmeted head. The incident occurred at about 4:15pm at the intersection of Fourth and Hill streets, where Occupy protesters and activist...

This photo is making the rounds: This is part or the whole of an extensive stash of bottles recovered in the 010th District the other day. All filled with human waste and no doubt whatever extra fecal matter the ne'er-do-wells were able to pick up on the parkways. Counts range from 100 to 500 bottles recovered depending on the rumor you believe. We're sure this isn't the only stash floating around out there. How about the Department try something novel and get the media to cover what the protestors and anarchists are planning and maybe get the public overwhelmingly on...

SEATTLE -- Some May Day protestors are running rampant in Downtown Seattle, smashing windows at businesses and cars as they marched through city streets Tuesday afternoon. Video from Air 4 has shown smashed windows at a Wells Fargo, a Downtown Federal Courthouse, and Niketown, among others. KOMO News reporter Joel Moreno says he and his photographer had been hit with a paint bomb while covering the march and ensuing riot. He says about 50 people clad in all black outfits were throwing paint at buildings and cars, marking the anarchist symbols, "but there were certainly others not dressed in black...

In another move that shows the members of Occupy Wall Street are completely out of their minds, a picture of Rebecca Black, famous for singing the poorly-reviewed song "Friday," has appeared on "AnarchistNews.org." The picture inexplicably has a man with a gas mask and probably an ax creeping behind Ms. Black. There is no explanation for the picture whatsoever. However, the photo appears in a lengthy article about how corporations are destroying the world and how people need to "fight back" against a sort of omni-present oppressor. However, the article does state clearly who will save the downtrodden. To quote,...

Last night’s vandalism in the Mission District of San Francisco has drawn some criticism from Occupy activists—for its violent tactics and also for its direction against local businesses. But while many Occupiers would like to limit their focus to big banks and other entities they perceive as getting unwarranted special treatment in the economy, others are just opposed to capitalism altogether. For these protesters, small businesses are fair game. Though last night’s vandalism was in San Francisco, the event that sparked it was organized by Occupy Oakland. And OO describes today’s general strike as an “anti-capitalist” action that also sees...

While visiting my family in Cleveland in 2008, the wife and I went hiking and birding in the scenic and historic Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where we did indeed spot some huge buzzard nests and even one full of Eagle hatchlings. What looks like a river in the photo above is actually the remnants of the Ohio & Erie Canal, and the trail we took was once the canal's towpath- the classic bridge above spanned the gap above the valley... Yet for some reason this same Ohio Route 82 bridge was recently selected as a target by five violent...

Five "self-proclaimed anarchists" have been arrested after a months-long sting operation, charged with plotting to blow up a bridge in the Cleveland area, the FBI announced today. CBS News senior correspondent John Miller reports the group had been involved in a series of escalating plots that ended with their arrest last night by FBI agents. The sting operation supplied the anarchists with what they thought were "explosives" and bomb-making materials. At no time during the case was the public in danger, the FBI said.

We’ve told you in previous reports to expect the increasingly broke, desperate and nomadic Occupy movement to continue to make police the enemy and to make more flailing ‘direct actions’ in an attempt to stir up headlines. In New York City this weekend, they did not disappoint. As The New York Times East Village Local reported... Last night’s riotous atmosphere resulted in a sergeant and lieutenant suffering minor injuries while scuffling with anarchist protesters at the Astor Place Starbucks, the police said. According to police, around 25 people tried smashing the windows of the cafe with eight-foot long steel pipes...

The International Solidarity Movement (ISM), made more famous by its activist’s confrontation with an IDF soldier, is known as a left-wing pacifist group, but its sole mission in backing “Palestine” is to defame Israel. Whether it qualifies as being “pacifist” depends on whether the definition includes backing the Hamas terrorist organization and Arab “resistance.” The activist from Denmark was one of approximately two dozen bicyclists stopped by the IDF at a checkpoint in the Jordan Valley on Saturday. During a two-hour confrontation, an IDF officer said he suffered wounds, including broken bones, at the hands of the activists who beat...

Today's "we swear we're not the Onion" story: Dick Cheney has canceled a planned appearance in Toronto ... because he fears it could be too dangerous a trip to take. "He felt that in Canada the risk of violent protest was simply too high," explained the head of the promotions company that had scheduled the April 24 event at the apparently risky Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The National Post reminds us that Cheney reportedly got stuck inside a Vancouver building for seven hours during a September speech after a protest outside indeed turned violent and a security guard was choked.
