To Austin Freepers who gathered at the Texas Governors Mansion in 2000 to fight the left and the media over Bush vs. Gore. One of the most memorable FReepers was TheSarce who was a camera bug and she took great pictures of our battle there. If you remember it was 36 days after the election that AlGore refused to concede and every day there was a huge bank of TV cameras on the (left) side of the street and the Freepers on the governors mansion side of the street (protecting him from the left).

FReeper maica, who often joined the DC Chapter at Walter Reed and on the National Mall to freep and counter anti-war protests, passed away Sunday, May 10, age 74.

Just received a call from one of his friends in Florida. Gonzo (Barry Lee) has passed away, He was a long term member of FR and was proud to be with us at the March for Justice in 1998. Our Noel Sheppard passed away yesterday (Friday) morning at about 5:00 AM. Say a prayer for the soul of a man we'll all miss professionally, and many, many of us will miss personally as well. Noel was not just a force of nature, he was a very good man. How quickly this all happened. Just two months ago, Noel wrote about suddenly getting cancer at 53 called "Cancer's Ray of Hope." Our good friend, RedMDer's beautiful wife, Lynn is in ICU at a hospital in Baltimore, MD. Yesterday, the news RedMDer received from two doctors was grim, but today, another wonderful doctor said that he thought her condition was "treatable." PRAISE GOD! According to the note I received from Steve just a little earlier tonight, he thought they might start Lynn on chemo tonight!!!
