Hollywood star George Clooney said fellow celebrities and industry figures did not want to sign a petition supporting 'The Interview' film featuring the assassination of Kim Jong-un as they were afraid of the consequences. Clooney said he wanted to see the film released on-line to undermine the threats of the hacking gang, who are believed to be supported by North Korean agents. Sony's computer systems were breached following a major hacking attack last month, which saw highly confidential material released as well as a string of embarrassing emails.

National Review's editorial board, Mitt Romney, and other Republicans seem to be MORE willing to stand for freedom of speech than the Obama administration. Getting pushed around by third world tin pot dictators is modus operandi for Demon Rats.

    LIFE SITE NEWS ^ | Dec 16, 2014 | Ben Johnson
Joan Collins, who became one of the most glamorous actresses of the 1980s in her steamy role as Alexis Carrington in Dynasty, is revealing that beneath the Hollywood glitz she was repressing a secret: She had been raped. And she's concerned that the misogyny of porn five decades later will victimize another generation of naive young women. The British-born star is speaking out about being raped after her attacker showed her hardcore pornography and drugged her at the tender age of 17. She went on to marry him. Collins says that her favorite actor, Maxwell Reed, invited the teen to...

A painting by Sir Winston Churchill sold for £1.8million last night – a record price for a work of art by the former Prime Minister. A Sotheby's spokesman said: 'Churchill's exceptional ability as a painter was celebrated.'

A teenager who was bullied by online trolls posted a heartbreaking video on YouTube before killing himself, an inquest heard. Adam Smith, 19, who had learning difficulties, was bombarded with spiteful remarks and accused of plagiarism over a short story he put on a website. In response to the vicious bullying, he posted a video on YouTube entitled ‘I’m sorry’ where he apologised for any misunderstanding. But he was lambasted again by cruel users, who mocked him saying his speech problems were so bad it made them laugh. Days later he was seen crying as he walked to a railway...

Heads up: there are fake Nikon D800E DSLRs floating around. That’s according to Nikon Europe, which posted a notice “regarding fraudulent Nikon D800E digital SLR.” Apparently some unscrupulous folk are taking the D800, replacing its outer shell with the D800E cover, and selling the fake cameras through online auction sites (presumably eBay).

It's the week before Christmas, which means it's time for a hallowed holiday tradition here at Shorpy: The Office Xmas Party! Which has been going on for close to 90 years now. Will Clarence in Sales ever get up the nerve to ask out Hermione from Accounting? Washington, D.C., 1925. "Western Electric Co. group." There are enough little dramas playing out here to keep the forensic partyologists busy until Ground Hog Day. National Photo Company Collection glass negative.

As many women know only too well, finding a dress that fits like a glove is no easy task. But a new dress, created using a 3D printer, may be the answer to every woman's style woes. A design studio have used 3D printing technology to create an innovative dress customised to a woman’s body. The dress, which costs a staggering £1,900 ($3,000) to print, features 2,279 printed panels interconnected by 3,316 hinges. Creators Nervous System call it a ‘4D dress’ as, like fabric, the printed garment can go from a compressed object to its intended shape. Jessica Rosenkrantz, co-founder...
  • Five Pro-Abortion Male Celebrities Pro-Lifers Should Boycott

    LIFE NEWS ^ | 12/8/11 | Kristen Walker
Yesterday I told you about five famous women whose TV shows and movies I refuse to watch because of their very public pro-abortion views and, in most cases, their financial support of Planned Parenthood. Today, I’ll tell you about five male celebrities I boycott. Famous men are less likely in general to be vocally pro-choice, as the issue is still mistakenly viewed by some — especially pro-abortion advocates — as one in which men should have no say. This is ridiculous, since abortion is not just a women’s issue but a human rights issue. Also, organizations are less likely to...

as 2014 the year of the Un–Bum Steer? So many of our usual suspects behaved themselves (more or less) that we wondered if something was amiss. Texas A&M didn’t do anything too Aggie-like, the Dallas Cowboys were actually in the playoff hunt for a change, and Matthew McConaughey minded his p’s and q’s while picking up an Oscar along the way. Thankfully, politics didn’t let us down. Governor Rick Perry was indicted by a grand jury for abusing his power and coercing a public servant, and he celebrated having his mug shot taken with a jaunt to buy frozen custard....

If Patrick and Lee from Fstoppers and landscape/travel photographer Elia Locardi‘s goal was to get our hearts racing, they’ve succeeded in spades with the drone footage they just released from their time in Iceland. A “quick cut” of the best drone footage they’ve captured while in Iceland filming one portion of a much larger project, all of the video you see was filmed with a DJI Phantom 2, GoPro Hero 4 Silver and Zenmuse H3-3D gimbal.
